I watched some of these games yesterday and it was very one sided. Neither Sen nor Select played pro level, it was like watching Diamond against Grandmaster. I remember Sen as a very stable player, but his ZvP was completly off, he did not have any chance in those games.

So the American finals consist of mostly Koreans and are held in a German city with a French name and are being casted by a Dutch and hosted by a Brit.

it doesnt get much more international than this.

Fell asleep during the broadcast and I'm very surprised to see Sen fall out. I was hoping him and MacSed would make it, because I would really like to see more non-Korean Asians make it far in tournaments; more diversity will be good for the scene as a whole.

How exactly do they plan to continue with this season of WCS AM?
If they stream at time that suits North American viewers, guys in Cologne will have to do night shifts.
If they stream at time that suits the WCS crew, it will suck for NA viewers.

It is both impractical and could prove quite expensive when you consider how strict EU regulations are regarding working over time, double shifts etc.

Wonder if Sen would've advanced had the group order been different. I can't stand MSL format groups because of how influential the order can be, especially when the two favorites face in the opening match.

Since the so called MSL format is just standard double elimination with 4 players, and is considered one of the fairest format, meh. Not like round robin doesn't have its issues (player advance over those who lost to etc).

puCK played so well. I especially enjoyed seeing him break the collapsable rocks in the middle of a battle to crush part of Select's army and divide the survivors.

I also feel like Round Robin is superior to Dual groups. Tiebreakers are obviously a pain, but I will take RR over DG anyway.

Let's hope there will be no issues with the Chinese players getting visas for another country again.

Even though there are more Koreans in WCS America.

I am certain a US player will win it all.

Credit to and big congrats to puCK for advancing, but yeah, it would have been more interesting with a completely different nation balance in WCS AM Ro32 here. I don't know if the soft region lock did anything for the AM region since it was thoroughly occupied already.
