I hope it doesn't happen to him, but it would make for an epic Kong line story.

Oz got in by beating HerO... That tells you how long a starcraft year is, and how much can happen.

He is pretty darn good at PvP when he's not cursing himself

Honestly, I do feel that being a star matters more than skill in the foreign scene. Sad but true

How cool would it be to have an interview with everyone before IEM, kinda like Blizzcon.

Not the best PR for Evil Geniuses, but in a way not very surprising either.

I don't know, I think it depends on the individual." Lol that's because they both think they're gonna win it. And MC probably has a high chance, historically speaking :D

No one is forcing them to attend this tournament and I can guarantee you a player like Jaedong who is entering into the tourney only cares about getting that 1st place finish with little regards to the prize structure. That's a very ruthless mentality. The reality of the situation is that out of the 16 players in attendance, 15 of them will be walking away with $0 in prize money. That sucks. Obviously, all of them will be looking to win the tournament, but it's not defeatist to keep in mind that there are 15 other good players trying to do the same, and the odds are you probably won't win. Jaedong may have little care for the prize structure because he's already one of the richest individuals in esports, he can afford to not win any money at this tournament. The same could be said for MC and PartinG, the two players mentioned who were enthusiastic about the prize structure. For the rest of the lineup, it's a different story. The winner take all prize structure is flat out bad for the players. It's only there to to interest viewers, to artificially create hype for a tournament that would otherwise have had to rely on the promise of good games by good players to entice viewers.

I was a bit disappointed in that, so this time around I want to look for a team that really wants me and is like a family, regardless of the size. So I'm going about looking for a new team very carefully. Aw, good luck getting a team, Oz

ftfy (I know it's your opinion, not mine). Seriously, stardom is great for attracting sponsors and stuff. Reality displayed a huge amount of skill in his kind-of-legendary game vs. soulkey, but who the hell cared for him? If I was to put up a perfect example of stardom and skill, I'd have to bite my tongue and say "PartinG". On foreigner site, there's maybe Stephano/Scarlett (come at me, naniwa fanboys). Take away all the stardom and you basically have that "faceless korean" thingy as a standard.
