Watched the latest WCG and really, really wanted Moon to win. I remember when i first got involved in eSports/followed the scene WCG was the shit, the #1 tourney of the year. Moon/Grubby was never a thing, they did play a few in WC3L but thats during the time when 2v2 quality was really going down

somehow you managed to forgot Moon/Lucifer the #1 2v2 in my heart. Grubby/ToD also carried 4K during their prime. These two and SoJu/ReMinD top the 2v2 ranking in my book. American 2v2 like Ax/Strife or LongWalk/kiwi were flashy but not solid enough. Chinese duos were just lame

War3 is the most underrated spectator game to me. Really beautiful games at the highest level. Hope I remember to catch this!

GoStop and Susiria was the best 2v2 team for a long period as well, but that's even further back. I think Lucifer eventually replaced one of them, can't remember which one though. Anyway, they were always winning their 2v2s in wc3l.

The first "popular" 2v2 team was funnily enough Sjow and Delicato. They were known for only being good in 2v2, and not in 1v1. SaSE was originally known for his 2v2 play as well iirc.

Creolophus and Grubby was another great 2v2 pairing, afaik they were undefeated. They didn't play that much together though.

Well...

High diddle diddle,
The Cat and the Fiddle,
The Cow jump'd over the Moon,
The little dog laugh'd to see such Craft,
And the Dish ran away with the Spoon...

Goodbye cow, goodbye Moon...

A poem I wrote in wcreplays after I quit wc3 after playing it for 8 years. i feel it suits to the situation.

And so we'll go no more GGing
So late into the night,
Though my fingers itch for microing,
And Hotkey fiddling before the fight.

For Knights die to Frostie's breath,
And Sorcs slow a Grunt's breast,
And Wyvs kabob Ghoul's to death,
And Skellies, with wisps, are put to rest.

Though the night was made for GGing,
As lame players tech too soon,
Yet we'll go no more GGing,
As have, many times, Grubby and Moon.
