Once they realized that real money was on the line, there is no stopping them.

Unless of course they have zero money.

WCS is not, not really. MLG's used to be great to see what players were top dogs during that specific weekend. The WCS finals suffer from qualified players being just out of shape due to qualifying weeks before and performing badly and are out of balance due to equal invites for all regions. And yes, I realize that if there's serious money on the line, Koreans will invade. But then we end up with an MLG like the first MLG's were, 4 US players seeded into pool play combined with 2 koreans who survived a gruelling open bracket and will enter 90% of the games as a clear favourite (pretty much vs every opponent with the exception of scarlett). It made pool play pretty uninteresting back then and will do again now. I have nothing against US only tournaments and I understand that there is a (rather limited) demand for them, all I'm saying is that they're not very interesting for me personally to watch.

With that data in hand we will work to design 5 months of SC2 activity that will lead into Anaheim and give us our pool play players for the Anaheim...you know the guys that will skip the giant fucking open bracket we're going to run. Wish granted
