Dear TeamLiquid,
This is just a brief update on Core Gaming and how we’ve grown in the past 4 months. I’m also glad to see a lot of energy kicked back into the SC2 scene and I also wanted to thank Ravi (FearDragon) for all his awesome work trying to cultivate the NA community scene. It’s also really great to teams like IvD, LYGF, and Clarity solidifying their role in the NA scene.
As promised, I’m trying to be as transparent as possible with this update. Keep in mind we are an open community.
If you have feedback, suggestions, or genuine concerns, you’re welcome to talk to me or one of the staff members directly on our TeamSpeak 24/7.
Have a great Thanksgiving to those in the U.S!
All the best, Justin, Leader of Core Gaming LLC

Statement from Overdosed Gaming Overdosed Official Website
"Overdosed Gaming is becoming more prominent in the Starcraft community with each passing day, gaining Grandmasters players and hosting a number of tournaments with prize pools that have in the past been funded by the members of the community. In the future Overdosed plans to increase its growth, expansion, and community. Overdosed Gaming is interested in getting involved in a Gamers network type community, which is what Core Pro Gaming has to offer us beyond the partnership itself. We share the same goals of being involved in something bigger than a team who operate on their own, but rather work with other teams to create a strong community. Over the last month Core and Overdosed have been talking about how a partnership could prove mutually beneficial. We are pleased now to announce a partnership with Core Pro Gaming."
Sincerely, Kenji Overdosed Gaming SC2 Director
Statement from Integrity Gaming Website Under Construction
"Integrity Gaming was founded in September 2013 from the smoldering ruins of Alchemy Gaming with the sole intention of becoming one of the top foreign Starcraft teams in the world. We strive to maintain a level of honesty and class both in-game, and out of game. We have worked our way up from being one of the low tierered teams that noone had ever heard of to being one of the higher tiered amateur teams in today's North American scene. On Wednesday, November 20th, Integrity Gaming signed on for a partnership with the Core Gaming Network. We feel that the leadership of OverDosed, and the Core Gaming Network all have the same goals for the advancement of the North American Starcraft II scene and we are quite excited to help it develop into something much stronger than it currently is."
Sincerely, Andrew Integrity Gaming Founder
Q&A
Have you paid your players? + Show Spoiler +Of course! All players have been paid for every month so far since we started.
You own the company who is the current primary sponsor for Core. Isn't that a bad thing? + Show Spoiler +I do own the company who is currently providing most of the financing for Core. However, I see this as a good thing. We have full control over the money that comes into Core and there's no real danger of a sponsor 'pulling out' and Core dying. I love this team and this organization, and I would never do anything to hurt it.
How do you deal with people who hate you? + Show Spoiler +You mainly need to have a thick skin to be in gaming, especially when you have good intentions and your intentions are constantly questioned. There will be that select group of people who will hate us no matter what we do, just as there are people who hate any other team or specific player. Not much we can do but maintain our course and try to do what we feel is right for Core, the network, and the greater SC2 community.
You guys don't have any big names on your team. How do you expect to win tournaments? + Show Spoiler +The goal of Core is not to win tournaments, it is to cultivate a gaming community. Of course, we would love to have the best talent and see them perform well in their pursuits. Eventually, we hope to get to the point where our teams can perform well in tournaments and become 'famous' in that sense. But, until then, our priority will be our community.
Do you guys run tournaments for Core Gaming? + Show Spoiler +Yup! We run intra-Core League of Legends and SC2 tournaments. In fact, our most recent tournament concluded yesterday with $120 in prize money going to our players. OD also runs an awesome monthly tournament with prizes up to $200 for OD members.
What happened with Clarity and Dragon? + Show Spoiler +Everything is fine Dragon has opted to be a full-time streamer and not join a team at this time. He's doing really well with his stream numbers lately, so it's really awesome to see. Be sure to support him and check him out.
Is your League of Legends team good? + Show Spoiler +Our League team is made of some of the nicest, most hard-working guys I have ever met. They are working really hard to get up to a challenger level and then we'll see where things can go!
|
I am very excited for the opportunity that we have with Core. Great to see OD and Core grow!
|
Nicely done again Justin, and thanks for the support guys.
|
YESSSS :D As a member of Integrity Gaming I'm proud of this announcement and glad to be apart of this!
|
Maybe stop stealing players from oGaming? Gotten a few from us now. *cough cough*
|
Really excited to see where Core goes in the future. Keep up the great work!
|
Great to see CORE doing well! You guys are doing some great work in cultivating a nice community. =]
|
Awesome! I'm extremely excited for this partnership and can't wait to see where this takes us
|
I'm very proud to be a part of this community and group of very talented and driven individuals. Hopefully we can continue to provide positive updates in the future.
|
Awesome seeing Core growing like this! Shoutout to Justin for all the hard work hes doing.
|
Amazing stuff, glad to see even more progress within the team!
|
Looks great! More people in teamspeak, and i need mod so i can feel powerful
|
Wow a partnership? Cant wait to see what this brings for the future!
|
I'm not gonna lie, I literally laughed out loud at the org chart. I work for a 200-person company and our org chart is literally smaller than that
|
great write up, but your budget is 100% bullshit if you are trying to be transparent. Those figures mean next to nothing
|
and here goes the brand new accounts parade.
and yeah jtp118, their org chart is laughable.
edit: and the core design pro website looks ugly/fishy for a business dedicated to graphism and making websites LOL
|
Core Gaming, the only team with more officer positions than twitter followers.
|
I love how 'Core Professional Gaming is a scam' is a higher result on google than the main sponsor.
|
The only issues I see here are the fact that your clan organization chart looks absolutely ridiculous, and I really don't understand the " 6 month budget outlook : solvent " ....gross budget 65% and "discretionary" 8% ? What ....? I am impressed by the layout of your information but most of it just seems to be the typical " HEY LOOK AT ME " type of post, like why is it necessary to let everyone know that you pay your players?...
Are you poaching for new players? :-p
EDIT : Also no offense, but if you are considering yourselves a professional team, I would give that website a 5/10. Def. needs some serious work done.

I know But imagine what the trolls would do if I posted exact figures lol the whole thread would devolve into a comparative guessing game of how much players make.

Thanks for your feedback! Website definitely needs improvement. An example of an awesome site would be Clarity's - really clean feel and great content, so when I get time in the coming weeks (maybe early next year?) I may do a full redesign.

Why do Team Liquid mods keep allowing Core members to make a hundred different accounts to spam and advertise their own team? I thought that was no allowed on these forums? Mods in the past would ban them and warn the Team mangers for doing this type of activity.
Also Core, its not a good way to show the community what your all about by doing stuff like this. Just shows what kind of people you guys are. This is what? Thread num 3 or 4 of self promotion again?
|
Funny to see ppl who don't understand what obligated vs discretionary in their budget means criticize Core for providing those percentages. I'm inclined to belive it's not a scam, after all a scam has to involve them pulling in money by dishonest means.
|
To all those wondering why Core is posting this update: The first post Core made on TL left a lot of people skeptical (to be expected), and some of the common comments were along the lines of "I guess we'll have to see where this goes" or "I don't trust Core right now, we'll see how they do" or "Core will die in a month." This thread is merely the OP following up and responding to the people of this community. There are no negative intentions.
|
Core is an excellent team, and I hope it continues to excel as it is now!

Nanocloud grows even stronger......

This post is quite exaggerated, but there is some truth in it... you can read about that in the last paragraph.
The fact of the matter is that this thread was created about the partnerships between Core and other organizations, so good for them. To hate on them for making a thread that has actual content about the team and what they've been doing is silly. Moreover, the players, which are many of the posters in this thread, can attest to the fact that they are getting paid by Core. Again, this is factually the case so I don't know why people hate on the organization in this regard either.
If you want to hate on anything hate on the fact that they still have this Nanocloud "Milad" as a "COO" and "SC2 Director". Never has there been a more childish individual in a "COO" position of an organization+ Show Spoiler +. People have sent me skype chats of this guy and some of the stuff he's said... well.. there are some real issues with his self-perception and how he talks about/treats others lol. Also, I don't think there are any extra "spam accounts" in this thread. Mainly due to the fact that the person who was making them was Nano... and he's banned from TL... >.> ..

good news! Bright things are ahead!

You DO have the option to just not say anything to begin with, which I think in this case might be best if you don't want to reveal any data

The number aren't fake, they just don't contain exact information that shouldn't be made public. The exact salaries of players is something that we cannot make transparent, but we can divulge where %s of our money go.
We did want to reveal data. We did not want to reveal data that shouldn't be revealed.

We did want to reveal data. We did not want to reveal data that shouldn't be revealed. what i am saying is those figures are pretty inconsequential. I mean you couldn't come up with profit, total revenue, projected revenue, net income, or o ther things that a corporation usually releases?
edit: i m ean for gods sakes you have percentages. those percentages don't mean anything if there's nothing it's a proportion of

Well.
No matter what, having so many people suddenly praise a team I've never heard of smells quite fishy to me, even if the team is legit.

only guy i like in Core Gaming is SpaceMarine :p

They probably tell their community to make accts and spam the thread to make it look like their team is more popular, better, etc
Not a big deal I guess. Doesn't hurt anyone.
|
Big props to Core Gaming, and Overdose, two very highly driven teams. It's great seeing the two pair up!
|
|
Having had the pleasure to cast many of Core's players, it is great to see them grow and develop both as a team and also as individuals.
Wishing Core all the luck <3
|
Sick! I wish the best of luck to Core and I love this team ^-^
|
i wasn t sold on core when they emerged but they proove me wrong, They have a solid lineup , care a lot about the community. My only dissapointed was not being able to watch them play in the playoff of the UASL. Just Making this kind of post just proove they want to be love so why not give them some ? :D lets all keep the hate for the ladders =P
I hope Core avec a good 2014 and i wish player like JonSnow , Sonic , Edge , JonnyRecco gets challengers in wcs , something big likee that , makee a butterfly effect , make NA and Eu united and own korea

GOGO Core! I love this little post to show us how things are going!
Might I advise a little video of people introducing themselves if you really want to click with the community; it gives us faces to support for
|
The org chart is hilarious because there are eight c-level 'executives' for what appears to be less than a dozen players. You guys really like your fancy-yet-meaningless titles.
|
Big congrats on your partnership! Was good to see 2 of your players (Sonic and Jonsnow) making it to the semi finals of the Breakout Invitational. Sucks that you had to teamkill each other, but congrats to Jonsnow for getting 2nd place! Best of luck, and I'm eager to see your future progression.
|
Good Read :D Glad yall are doing well! Keep it up

Hey Jake, thanks for your feedback! We do like titles, they are fun to have

Core Gaming truly is a great organization to be a part of. I recently joined Core Gaming's staff and have had a lot of eye opening experiences in how they operate their business its truly a wonderful feeling being part of such a well organized, hardworking, and passionate team. We have some great staff and it truly does feel like one big happy family. Love the organization and love everyone involved. Great post and love the transparency! Definitely one of the better team posts ive seen in a long while. Core Fighting!!!
|
Ah these guys again. That org chart though... that is. erm. Rather silly.
|
You guys are really top heavy given your size, it is actually quite ridiculous to have that many people involved in corporate aspects of a team given the organizations size.

So Core is the opposite of Azubu? Transparency. Wow.
|
Hey guys, Really excited to push forward with this partnership. A lot of people here are focusing completely on the wrong aspects of this post. This is merely an announcement that three groups have decided to join forces and try to built something out of the extremely fractured North American SCII scene.
Try to stop going, "OMG THAT ORGANIZATIONAL CHART" and focus on the actual meat and potatoes.
Cheers.

Hey all! Mid laner for the Core League of Legends team here. Extremely excited to see this organization expanding, and see e-sports as a whole growing in western culture. Very excited for what is to come in the future.
Also, since I know the trolls will be out in full force for this thread, yes this is an account I JUST made (I'm a league player, never really spent any time on TL forums). Since there are so many accusations involving core creating fake TL accounts, proof that I am who I say I am can be found here.
|
Thanks for the mini shout out .
I do feel that this post was a bit more look at me rather then look at who we just teamed up with. Next time have the important stuff first with your fancy titles to better show what is going on. I had to read it a few times to understand that you partnered up with the 2 teams.
Other then that, Congrats on expanding its always great to see teams live on.
|
I think Core is a niice well organised clan, with many good players. I am proud to be part of this clan. good job!
|
Grats to Integrity Gaming and Overdosed Gaming, should be interesting to see what becomes of all this. good luck to all 3 teams. -Maestro
