So assuming no forfeits, Revival might have a hard time. TaeJa should beat him if he's playing well, SeleCT is dangerous, and for JonSnow, ZvZ is always a tricky matchup.
aLive might not make it either (which matters for whether he's #13 or #14; Lucky is strong and TvT is always Apocalypse's best matchup.

Ok Alive got a decently hard group. If he advances, he plays Polt, if he loses he plays JD I think. Nazgul confirmed Taeja only forfeited his bracket match because of sickness and will play in this group. So I'm thinking Taeja is the clear favorite to win that group, and if SeleCT or Jon Snow manage to beat Revival, then we have our top 16.

I dunno, Revival is the clear favorite over Select and JonSnow. They both have pretty poor records (sub 30% win rate).

I'd 11/11 and 6 pool for $500!

Is it really bad that I want Revival to lose? SORRY REVIVAL!!
Also, it's going to be hard for Taeja, as if he loses, then I reckon there's going to be allegations of sort of match-fixing; or if Revival plays brilliantly, there'll be chances of his win being tainted by the potential of Taeja being 'nicer' so his teammate gets to go to Blizzcon.

talking about allegations before the matches are even played is basically just hyping up the idea of match fixing and making people more likely to think about it and discuss it

11pm CET for Group A is consistent with NASL site time info (3pm PDT), but that means TL event calendar is currently wrong.

nope
wcs-specific points are only for tiebreakers within 2 players already in the Ro16 for tied #16 and #17, a Bo5 will be played in Blizzcon to determine who gets into Ro16 also you are wrong about Revival guaranteed 25 points. The 25 points he gets no matter what is already counted in his current 3175 points. He is playing for the extra 25 points he would get if he advances.

Torn between wanting Taeja to win, Wanting Revival to set up the grudge match between him and Naniwa, and being a huge SeleCT fanboy.
|
It really sucks for aLive, Mvp, Jaedong, and Polt that aLive's group is on the last day... They have that much less time to prepare for their first opponent... The only player that has less time to prepare for a specific player is Soulkey... Who has to wait until maybe a hour before the event... lol

Yeah, hmm I am confused now, as I took the times from the NASL site. Also the times are the same at WCS site now: http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en#schedule
Where did you get your times? Or is the OP still wrong in this regard?

Yeah euhm, 11pm is 23:00, so it still has to happen, it is not 11am, which is 11:00 and would indeed be four hours ago. Also, the WCS website shows the schedule in your local time, which would be 11pm or 23:00 for the both of us (Denmark / The Netherlands).
Elite_ is referring to a completely other time I guess.
This time discussion is annoying

HuK is going to have to play a lot of PvP in his group, and I'm confident that he'll be besting his opponents in those matchups.

I guess we'll just see in two hour if they start playing or not. I doubt it.
Both Liquipedia and WCS has them playing in 7 hours.

Yeah that s why i m confused because this morning everyone was saying 6pm. But looks like it ll definitivly be at 11pm. Too bad they keep it so late (just 1 hour early) and schedule two groups in a row.

So, can somebody tell me about the amount of WCS points that can be earned here? I remember people saying Naniwa and Revival would tie if Revival would win his matches and thus would have to play a decidersmatch. But by topping the group Revival will earn 100 points, right? That would place him over Naniwa in the rankings, or am I wrong?

revival already makes 25 points just for being in challenger, and by making it out of his group he can add another 25 points, but he can't make the top 8

I guess Revival is going to BlizzCon with a 2nd place group finish behind Taeja. Sucks for Nani but can't complain about an extra match to watch.
Hopefully Ryung makes it out of Group B, Snute will be tough and TheStC isn't too shabby as a player either I believe.
Alicia only having to focus on one match-up is pretty nice, he's probably practised PvZ with Scarlett for GSTL, rooting for Suppy to make it through too as he's such a nice guy.
Hoping Demu makes it out of his group also. MajOr is a very good Terran and Top is a Chinese Protoss and they have a habit of being good,
|
Am I the only one thinking about Soulkey here ? Sure he'll be favorite against either Nani or Revival but in his position i'd like to know which match-up to work on for the first round.
|
Major also has very good TvT. Taeja dropped a series to him in premier. It is also TheStC's best match up, though it doesn't look like he has beaten any strong players recently.
