I could try to check those. VNs aren't really my thing tho. The reason I like KS is the subject matter and the writing. Their approach to a sensitive subject is interesting.

I mean, if you liked KS, it sounds like VNs are your thing and you're just mistaking what the usual kind of VN is - most good ones tackle all sorts of sensitive or intense subject matter. For instance, Muv-Luv Alternative has an absolutely incredible portrayal of PTSD and its effects on someone.

Calling it low tier is selling it short imo. It's true that it is nowhere near the pinnacle of what the genre has to offer but Katawa Shoujo was pretty damn good, and there is no shortage of trash VNs out there. It was also fairly short for a VN when most tend to be punishingly long (Muv-Luv is a god damn masterpiece but it takes a while to get going) that has helped it become a gateway to the genre of sorts. But anyone who enjoyed KS should definitely check out some more.

Yeah, I think I need to check those VNs. KS just leaves me with the same feeling you get after you read finish a good book. Kind of half empty feeling. Almost sad. Need to get over that before I can really make a good judgement on anything else.

I just noticed that the match against MKP used a picture with Bomber playing... (스타태일폭격기 i.e. Startale Bomber) XD

Considering Umineko "high bar" or putting it at the same tier of Muv-Luv is offensive and wrong! >

Katawa Shoujo is a work of art that you should reconsider: while it isn't exactly action-filled it's more about learning valuable life lessons.
...then you consider that it was made just by random fans instead of paid profesionist and still manage not only to compete with "professional" VNs, but actually be better than lot of them.

Yeah, I messed up there. I've noticed a few errors like that despite all my editing.

Cool stuff! But I can't really think of any Koreans in the SCII scene who would be a good "mean guy". MC as a mean guy doesn't seem right since he's so friendly IRL, though maybe trash talkers/ceremony performers like he and Parting could have a role there.
