Welcome the DreamHack Open Valencia caster line-up by tweeting to them!
Shaun 'Apollo' Clark - @ApolloSC2 Dan 'Artosis' Stemkoski - @Artosis Sean 'Day[9]' Plott - @Day9tv Sue 'Smix' Lee - @sullyrabbit Mike 'Adebisi' Van Driel - @AdebisiSC
Fantastic news for all StarCraft II lovers, DreamHack-fans and the Romanian eSport community, Sean 'Day[9]' Plott will come to DreamHack Bucharest. It's a pleasure to once again have Sean at an DreamHack event. He will be part of the Grand Final of SC2L on Saturday and host the DreamHack Open Final 8 Show combined with some commentating of matches.
Sweet, completely solid! This is pretty late, though. Of course DH knows this, but I just wanted to give feedback on it. I also couldn't find a schedule for things like semi-finals and finals until yesterday, which hurt my ability to coordinate and host a viewing event in advance.

On his stream he said a while ago that he doesn't travel much anymore for a while because he takes expensive korean classes which he can't miss. Maybe he'll do more overseas stuff again in the future.
Cant wait start early with some sc2 grudge matches or dream matches Flash vs JD well maybe close out the games with that as to not expose specific builds.

Hes a good caster and all but id like some variety. Idra and ToD are underused as casters imo.
ToD is doing this thing called competing in the tournament O_O. Mind blown
Anyways, sick line up without a doubt. The thing I am curious about is if Artosis and Apollo can cast the whole thing with just the two of them. Would be good to have at least three casters to rotate one in and out to give them a break once in awhile.
Very nice, but why is Day[9] a host and not a caster? His talents are at casting, in my opinion. Would rather like to see Redeye as a host, who is imo the best one in SC2. Also missing Kaelaris as a caster. #behave
But still very nice lineup, looking forward to it! <3 Artosis

I agree. We need to start tweeting at @robertohlen to make sure we get Smix & Day[9] co-casting at least one game
The link actually says that he'll do a bit of casting:

He has an awesome personality and he might overdo his jokes from time to time, but I'm pleased Day9 is in this tournament. Would rather prefer him as a caster, since Redeye is the best host, in my opinion.

the announcement says he's going to be commentating some matches as well

I love Day9 to death but --puts on Kanye glasses-- James Harding is the best host of ALL TIME. Seriously though, he can't be beat.
I pretty much associate Apollo and Artosis with DH at this point, but no Incontrol is kind of surprising, I thought he was doing all of their events this year.

It's been awhile since Day 9 has been out to Europe to cast I believe. I still think Apollo and Artosis are my favorites to cast. Haven't seen tasteless cast in a long time, but I don't really watch GSL much anymore, don't see any reason to buy the VoDs when I got koreans in NA lol

he was the main caster for SC2L as well
It's purely my fault.. months ago I bought tickets to the Seahawks game and didn't see that it was DH weekend
Really sick line-up of players and casters, but I miss Rain, First or Parting for Protoss. For Zerg I miss DRG (who is in good chape again) and Soulkey. For Terran I miss Bomber and maybe Maru and jjakji. But still sick line-up and its hard and nearly impossible to get such a tournament with all of the top players.

I was meant to be there >_<
Next time I hope!
I went to their last (?) pre-season game versus the Raiders... I can understand you skipping DH for a Seahawks game You guys truly have an amazing crowd, I lost my voice for ~3 days after that match.
Anyway, bar the absence of Geoff, perfect lineup for Bucharest in my opinion. DH gets it.

You see, I think that RedEye has the potential to be the best host in foreigner SC2, but his dialogue is never good enough. His execution is also always faltering. I love hearing him speak and then my ears get scratched when he botches the execution of his joke or statement.
Hope he gets over that, his hosting would be amazing.
On topic though, I love this lineup from top to bottom. DH is the premier, non WCS, event. Everyone else is second to DH! So psyched for this ^_^

Somehow I suspect Incontrol will be going to the game but in his heart and mind he will be thinking about starcraft and wishing he was there instead
This is amazing, I wouldn't change anything about this caster line-up even if I could. The only thing I'm missing is Jaedong in this tournament, but I don't mind if it means he's working hard on his ZvT ^^

That's really cool. I miss his casting, but that is a great reason to miss it for. This line up is sick.
Really, really nice line up. With the players, casters, and hosts that are showing up, this has potential to be one of the most amazing Dreamhacks ever, and that's a pretty damn high bar to clear at this point.
I'm glad I don't see ToD on the list, 'andUHHH' every 5 seconds, haha! This is probably the best line up possible! No Archon because Arotosis is probably the only one invited? I wish tasteless would make a post about it on his twitter, haha!

He has alott of fanboys(me included) because he was so "big" back when I/we started playing SC2. He was energetic, informative and funny, he made most tourneys alot more enjoyable, and ofc. many of us learned alot frem he's daily shows. He is a very likeable person lol ;-)
Total prize pool for this event is 175,000SEK, or ~USD$26817.
Artosis and Day9 would be minimum $20k each, I can't imagine Apollo is too far behind...add in Smix and Adebisi and your casters and hosts are getting up to 2-3 times the prize pool.
I couldn't imagine it any better! A&A casting is the best casting duo in the industry. Day9 hosting would be great and Smix would be great co-host. Aldebisi so nice too!

even if these numbers are true, you must see it economically. the casters are a very good investment, they attract viewers, thus creating more money, more sponsor interest and that contributes to the prizepool. not to mention that there is a bazillion other expensive things they need to pay and you just dont see them. also, the prizepool is big enough to attract the biggest of names and you also play for dh winter qualification and wcs points, where more money lies.

Ah yeah Dreamhack time! Will tune in, even if it is just for the music <3 I would have loved Kalearis over Artosis, but you cant have it all i guess. Pretty good lineup (players, hosts, casters) so far!

Sell those thickets on the black market and come to Romania. I will give you "mici" and "pălincă". You will leave Romania in 4 "feet" and you will like it so much you will come next year!

You should really back up your claims with sources if you're going to make statements about casters' compensation. For now I'm just going to assume this 20k figure is a wild, wrong guess.

Well, that's the perfect lineup. If anyone can cast an entire tournament without missing a beat, it's Apollo and Artosis. Adding Day[9] and the future Mrs.Crownlol as hosting flair is just perfect for hype. And Adebisi has been recognized before as the supreme observer, but it's great to see him getting recognized.

I still miss him, but I have faith that he'll be back, better than ever!
The A Team is back for superb casting and observing :D Smix was really good last time, too, nice to have her again. Don't know about day[9], hope he and the romanian crowd get along well, could be quite a blast, we will see.
Cool lineup,i wish there was one more caster to back up either apollok or artosis, you know so they can have breaks and be more fresh. I'm guessing theses caster won't cast SC2L ?
Also Day9 as an host is ok (but thanks god you didn't let him cast)

From what I gather Day9 will cast some. Perhaps they'll even swap out Adebisi to cast, if one of the casters get a case of sore throat or anything.
I LOVE Day9 as a caster... I really can't stand apollos Loud aspect of his casting and constantly pointing out the obvious in 3 different ways T.T
I would love to have the casting archon back! Tastoises!!!!!!!!! Day 9 and Apollo balance eachother out though tbh when day 9 and apollo cast together I kinda like it but anyone else Apollo starts screaming every 2 seconds and repeats himself
REALLY REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE EVEN THOUGH!!!! POPPIN SOME POPCORN AND NOT MOVING FROM TEH SCREEN!

Imma let you finish, but day9 is the best damn host in all of esports. He transcends esports and could host an american idol cause he's so damn good at it. No one can command an audience and room quite like day9 in esports.

Right on. I love Incontrol, but he's more of a gamer's caster. He's a little less professional than Day[9] (occasional bad language, etc.), and a little less fluid on stage, but he's a very solid host. I wish we saw more Incontrol casting, or perhaps Incontrol + IdrA for a TeamEG caster's bench.

Well Incontrol mentioned in some interview, I think -- or it was the bald guy who runs DH said that they were telling him to curse more cuz DH is more laid back than those evil guys at MLG who were literally killing esports when they had SC2 license.

Exactly. Incontrol isn't exactly a bad host, but he's just more of the low brow jokes kind of host. You know how on american idol the judges will sometimes say, your singing isn't star quality, but more cruise ship quality. Incontrol is more of a cruise ship quality host, while day9 is a star type host in more professional settings.

Given that incontrol used to cast some games during group stages when he was listed as host I'd say it's fair to say that day will cast some as well.
People asking about tasteless: No need for the money, artosis wouldn't go either if he didn't have wife and kid.
