Today Team Acer can officially announce the acquisition of Lee " INnoVation" Shin Hyung. The Korean Terran will be known as Acer|INnoVation as of September 1st, which has already begun in his home of South Korea. INnoVation will live in the Axiom house and play for Axiom-Acer in GSTL, while playing for Team Acer in all foreign and Korean individual tournaments.
INnoVation's SC2 accomplishments:
GSL 2012 S5 (3rd-4th)
GSL 2013 S1 (5th-8th)
MLG Winter Championship (3rd)
WCS Korea GSL S1 (2nd)
WCS S1 Final (1st)
WCS Korea OSL S2 (3rd-4th)
Team Acer CEO Uwe "Acer | webmuggle" Semtner issued the following statement regarding the Terran's acquisition:
"It was a great honor and a huge chance for us when the opportunity arose for us to add INnoVation to our StarCraft 2 roster. An honor because he chose our team, a chance because you don't get a call from one of the best players in the world, telling you that he want to join your team, every day!
INnoVation is a great addition to our existing roster and everybody, especially our Zergs, will benefit from his arrival. He will also be part of our upcoming GSTL Team, togehter with Axiom. I'm looking forward to a very interesting and, hopefully, very successful time for our new StarCraft 2 roster."

I am so thrilled to see Axiom-Acer's chances rise even higher in this next GSTL. They seemed to be a shocking success story last time, and this is only making them stronger. I may be slightly disappointed if they don't make the finals, but great power comes with great expectations. Also, it's nice to see Innovation smile. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

You do realise MMA was the very one who helped SK prepare for gsl finals along with flash. Inno usually ladders and now with mma and ryung he will have great tvt practice. Tvp in general seems quite hard except for taeja right now. He will succeed even more in the future!

1st of all: Insane pick up for a foreign team.
Secondly: I think he'll do very well in foreign tournaments. Looking at his latest results, he kinda struggled if the opponent had enough time to prepare for him specifically. In a "weekend tournament" with little time to prepare, his macro will carry him through quite easily, imo. So even in this regard joining a foreign team is probably not too bad of an idea :-P

I will keep on Supporting Innovation no matter what. In sc2 he really won me over especially in Hots and I hope Acer will propell him forward. Even though I loved him at STX and its sad to see them go ;( I just think and hope him joining a foreign team wont decrease his skill.
That said I wish him GL and lots of fun and best wishes and also hope Acer benifets from having such an amazing player on their team

So this is kinda awesome that we can finally talk about it. The Axiom guys have known Innovation for quite some time and they're on great terms so when we heard Acer were looking to pick him up we offered him pace at our house since Acer does not have a dedicated Korean training facility. There he will have access to high quality training partners in the same way that he did in STX and we're looking forward to being able to use him in our already formidable Terran lineup in GSTL. Innovation stated that his skills vastly increased when STX switched to a more loose, free training environment. This is the same setup that Axiom operates under, so we expect he will be able to do exactly the same thing in our house as he was doing in STX.
Hopefully this also puts to rest rumours of friction between Axiom and Team Acer. We are committed to our highly successful partnership for Season 2 of GSTL. We proved highly unpredictable in GSTL Season 1 after many wrote off our team as "Ryung and some other guys" and were very happy to prove those people wrong by constantly changing our ace player and catching teams off guard with great success. Now we have even more aces up our sleeve.
