I'm sure the NASL crew can match the ESL crew in making an awesome production. Can the NA fans create an even better atmosphere at the venue? Imagine a final with HuK or Scarlett!

edit 1: WE HAVE OTHER CITIES
edit 2: Man im sad i cant go live, zz so so so so sad

If people were to ask me which cities would be good for an event I'd say Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal because these three cities act as hubs for International travel anyway. Montreal is great for the Europeans; Vancouver is great for people coming from Australia, Asia and anyone on the West Coast etc. and Toronto is well Toronto. Toronto acts as a connector between the two and I'd say it's a convenient place for mainland Americans to travel to. I don't really see a Premier League/Tournament going outside of those cities.

i know but its probably for the best, just wish it was in Vancouver tho. Would be nice if i could see a tourney live

Hmmm. Wondering if I should skip out on going to IEM NYC for this.... since they are within two weeks of eachother...
Hotel fares are much cheaper, its just a 7 hour drive up to Toronto for me.
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

Still very happy to have another e-Sports event in Toronto.

Let's be a little realistic here ... do you have any idea how expensive that would be? This is an e-sports event not a concert. lol..

I'd pay 20-30 $ more for an event downtown.

Same, the area around the venue is pretty dead, hosting it downtown would have been amazing -.-

Not that I care since it's only a 10 minute drive from my place.

Let's bring a two-four in the trunk of your car Eh?

It was the latest date they could have if they wanted the WCS Grand Finals at BlizzCon.

October 25-27 - WCS S3 Finals
November 1-3 - (week off for VISAs and travel arrangements)
November 8-9 - BlizzCon

In my opinion, next year Blizzard should give more time off between WCS Seasons so we can have an "off season" and more time between regional broadcasts so it isn't on 16 hours a day, 5 days a week.

I can only agree. The offseason time is to short because after 2 weeks the Ro32 groups will begin then .

Considering how Blizzard rushed all this on everyone? I think it's amazing we'll get through it all before Blizzcon. I agree with you on the scheduling heck I much rather have all the lans act as the buffer towards such a thing as I've said many times before.

I think they should run 3 seasons next year rather than the planned 4. It would give more times for international tournaments and maybe another korean league.

What I find interesting is the period between BlizzCon and 31st December. There could be a lot of tournaments there (Red Bull, DH Winter, HSC 8...)

It is Mississauga and they should treat it as such.

I agree, makes me sad as a mississauga resident that Toronto gets all of the recognition, but oh well TT

Glad it's coming to the airport again! So happy since it's only 15-20 minutes drives from my house :D

As a Mississauga resident you should know that the border of Toronto/Mississauga is the 427 which the TCC is east of! So no they shouldn't treat things in Toronto as if they aren't.

edit: beaten by Incanus

Well, I guess I'm just so used to being able to go to etobicoke easily that I forget there is even a border

Uhm, isn't this a bit too soon? This feels so cramped, even more for the players. Like group stage for KR starting in just 3 days? :O

I'm scared we are going to run our players ragged, especially the top players who JUST finished a tournament. IMO at least 3 weeks between the final and initiation of the next season is needed. TBH, I wouldn't mind 4-6 weeks. Are the top players getting the time needed to be creative?

You would, a lot of other people might too, but a lot of people wouldn't as well, its a lot easier to go with the safer bet, and on top of that you'd probably have to pay a lot more than $20-30 more

A concert? You're trying to compare one of these events to a concert when concerts actually have around the same amount of people and are only a few hours? That's terrible and the MTCC is used for much bigger events. Sure there might be some live music but it's actually used for stuff that is convention material. Heck it's in the bloody name. Rico Coliseum is a decent size and I do believe it would be possible to sell 7,700 tickets for an event (and that's just the rink). Rico isn't that pricey to rent out either the problem is the scheduling of the dates. To get it for an entire weekend three days straight. You better have a big advance... not only that but you better pray the Marlies are on a lonnnnng road trip. Really not an easy venue to get lol during October. It's usually booked.

Well you answered it yourself right there, trying to get Ricoh during hockey season, GL lol. 26th is a Sat, which = hockey. Wouldn't you know, Sat Oct 26 Marlies vs Rochester. 8000 seats to fill up is a lot. Ricoh is more expensive, staying downtown is more expensive, and when you're factoring in all those, you can see why they went with the safer bet.
