Because those teams don't have a powerful organization like Kespa behind them, that is making sure something like this doesn't happen. eSF obviously is not powerful enough, as IM rather ran to Kespa than eSF for investigation...

Well Kespa would get involved in such affairs if, for instance, they wanted LG-IM to join Kespa and participate in ProLeague....

Thinking this further, this probably means the end of GSTL, too. Unless GOM manages to drag a bunch of foreign teams into their team league to replace IM, NSH and Azubu.

Just merge the leagues already

Too many people here don't realize KeSPA is basically a government organization, not just for those 8 teams.
This case has absolute no indication about them join proleague.
Fuck you Zealously! For the fuck you give to those players.

Wow.. Why did LG stop sponsoring IM ?
I thought they were pretty happy with that relationship.

Looks fairly suspicious that KeSPA are helping LGIM so it looks like they are definitely joining pro league then.

some context: KeSPA chairman is a member of Parliament, and KeSPA represents the interests of several other big companies

it makes sense to go through them as a more influential and powerful body to solve a greivance like this
AdministratorHey HP can you redo everything youve ever done because i have a small complaint?

Perhaps because LG is one of the bigger company's in Korea ? Though 10 months seem long we do not know what was promised by LG as a contract deal in the negotiations, perhaps it was to tempting for the IM coach to pass up and it would secure him and his team of a great long term contract.

LG "can" offer contracts smaller less wealthy sponsors simply can not.

It's easy to judge coach Hirai on being naieve, but honestly we have no idea what was talked about.

I wouldnt read too much into Kespa helping IM, since IM plays in the LoL Hot6 champions tournament with pretty much only Kespa Teams (and MVP).

Kespa can just wait and add teams like IM/MVP and eventually win out without losing any power that they might in a merge. :/

Wow. :/ This sucks for IM. I'd really hoped they'd get the contract renewed, especially after how well they did in 2012 in individual leagues. Hopefully things get sorted.

How could this possibly happen on IM's side of things? What madness could drive a manager to effectively fake a sponsorship that seemingly expired months before?

Kespa is not in desperate need of more teams, and too many teams in a team league is a bad thing, too. A merge would only benefit Kespa. They would simply pick the best teams (IM and MVP) and discard the rest.

Hm LG had a good image in my head, I liked their products. I hope they come clean or I won't buy their shit ever again.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.
