these statements : false, they only take the things they want and put it on blast.
GL-.-GG
How did a player miraculously get your account Anderson? And exactly at the time all this was happening? Sounds too good to be true, exactly how all the gear/salary sounded when you offered it.

some of the members knew my passwords to things, so its not hard to guess my skype password, but all passwords have been changed.

All the best towards the players though, some of them are really good.

What the heck did I just read? This reminds me of the State Farm commercial... Not everything you read on the internet is true.

Nobody knew your skype password buddy, don't try to play it off. We all feel bad for you, but you just keep digging yourself a deeper hole.

Anderson mention many times that he is bring desrow and major into the team, but I refuted him and insisted that I will have no des nor row in my house, because me and desrow don't see eye to eye on things, and we had a little history that some of you guys might know.
That being said, without any evidence of how desrow is involved in this and why anderson is communicating with desrow and letting him know the plan has failed. Let's use logic to reason this out, let's suppose desrow is in it with anderson, and their objective was to make money, how is desrow being on smi help them scam money off the team? I can't think of anything that is reasonable, let's suppose they managed to get enough big name players on false promises and use the player's reputation to attract a real sponsorship. But reputation of desrow and major? They hasn't won anything meaningful since sc2 was in beta, nobody would sponsor a team with these 2 players.
The above is a negative proof that desrow is not involve by going through the logic on how he could not scam team smi for money if he was involved.

Should have listened to my advice back then guys :/

As the manager of your team, you should have stepped in from the beginning to stop them from talking to your players or making promises to them until you spoke to them yourself and made a signed agreement on everything. If they weren't willing to sign an actual contract then you shouldn't have tried to work with them. Any company that legitimately works with e-Sports teams would have talked to you first and made a signed agreement with you first.
I know the actual scam wasn't your fault and I don't mean to say this as if I'm blaming you, but I just hope people learn from these things and will take more proper actions when so called "sponsors" try to come in and just make deals by them saying they will fulfill what they claim to offer.
As I stated, I was on a hiatus from really managing sMi at the beginning of all of this. Once I found out about things, I told my players NOT to do anything before I talked to these individuals, but that didn't stop everyone from getting contracts and signing things.
I understand that, trust me I do. But when you were able to comeback and resume your involvement with the team, you should have stopped it then. You're still the manager of the team (and I'm going to assume the only manager of the team) so you still could have questioned and put an end to this as soon as you were able to return. Now yes I understand they went and talked to players without your knowledge but IMO when your hiatus was over you should have told your players to disregard what they signed until you spoke to both of them and got a signed contract on your end. If they wouldn't agree to that then you should have stopped communication with them immediately instead of going along with this for as long as you did and now wasting your players time as they thought everything was good up until the very last conflict occurred where you finally kicked them.
Again, I don't mean this to come out as me blaming you solely for what happened, but just next time try to take precaution with people who claim to sponsor and take the proper approach of getting signed agreements on your end before letting it get to your players.

sorry this happens to such a historic team

Ok thank you, i was just wondering, was kinda confused on that part

Sorry it unfolded the way it did for you guys at sMi, but tbh I am sure most of the people familiar with the situation knew you guys were being scammed. Also, as much as I feel for some of the players on your team, there are a select few that are fakes and frauds (not just Athena). I am sure the real talent will find a home with new teams.
Thanks for giving us the full story! :D

But I really do feel bad for team smi they are one of my favorites to win omgl. This was just unlucky, I like to root for jimrising whenever I can. him being on smi was really cool to see. Either way smi will keep the same(strong) reputation they had with me even before the scam We have a personal sponsor as well, but he never falls back on promises ever. This was just unlucky and I wish you guys luck in the future for finding real sponsors as you lead a very strong team.

I really am interested on how Anderson planned to make money from this scam, though.

When will this new razer keyboard prototype become official? It looks really cool, like a standard 5 bucks dell keyboard, which I'm using right now, what a coincidence!
How can you POSSIBLY believe this will help your case when you offered Alienware X51 and brand new razer equipment, it's beyond me.
Also I don't understand you guys, he sounded really shady and with that I mean obvious as hell. But I still hope you recover from this and find a honest sponsor. Just don't be that naive anymore.
