I hope this isn't foreshadowing of things to come, however the recent KeSPA announcement doesn't inspire confidence. Well I'm not sure whether Team 8 losing players necessarily is an indicator of trouble in the scene as a whole considering they still have no title sponsor. As in they were going to have to make cuts if they went this long without a big sponsor anyway. However, the fact that they haven't found a big sponsor certainly is bad but that's nothing new. It's kind of sad to see Korean players with such potential retire early though because you would think that they could easily make a killing in the foreign scene if they were to get picked up by a foreign team, but I imagine they probably don't want to deal with the huge uncertainties involved in trying to find a new team and relocating and stuff. From his perspective I imagine it's much safer to just go resume his non-progamer life rather (resume school or go to the military) rather than continue on a more uncertain path. Probably parental pressure on that front too. Hope the best for True in the future!

His retirement in specific isn't cause for too much concern, but he is 22 years old with a spot in the Challenger League in Korea. If he wasn't performing well for some time or he was 3 years older I wouldn't have second thoughts about his retirement, but it seems a bit strange to retire when he was on the rise. If anything the LoL incorporation will help T8 get a title sponsor, my concern is that sponsors won't be interested in the SC2 side of the team.
