Flash or Bisu, Jaedong was very underpaid and he almost switched teams during BW.

There would be too much loyalty for Flash to change teams.

Not to mention Jaedong's team was without a sponsor, and it was basically explained that he was "on loan." I think JD will stay with EG now tho with EG investing in Korea and showing him what life can be like outside of KeSPA.

He's probably switching to a foreign team.
Yes, I'm sure they went to all the trouble to set up Flash's KT Rolster accounts on Twitter and Twitch with Razor retweeting them just so he could switch to a different team a week later.

Like it or not, foreigners have more viewers because they interact more with the viewers and there's actually something you learn while watching the player. While watching a korean stream is also a high lvl play, it doesn't answer your questions or tell you their's though process.
So tl;dr not expecting anything higher or close to Stephano's peak stream numbers of 17k. Except during Stephano's peak he didn't use mic or webcam.

I honestly don't see why people care so much about a webcam.

I have to say, Stephano's musical tastes in classic rock and his mesmerizing mechanics were enough to keep me hooked. It was unique enough for the time to stand out.

So the best sc2 players make around the veteran minimum for the NFL. Average entry level salary is $43,000 in the US with a bachelor's degree. Just food for thought for all the aspiring "pro-gamers" out there.

I hope Korean teams get more exposure to the huge western audience that is out there. Even if they're 'mechanical robots' in every sense of the phrase, it would help IMO.

By the way, playing in the NFL is silly when you can just become a successful author like JK Rowling and make so much more money.
+ Show Spoiler +The salary isn't all people care about. In the case of progamers, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's one of the things they typically care less about.

I fully agree. I'll be more than happy to be pgm with 1k€/month.

Indeed, Naniwa said in an interview that at the time he joined Col, the most important for him wasn't the salary but to be able to keep training in Korea.

Lolwat. the kespa scene is by far the richest scene of all, they have enormous sponsors (Nike, SKT, Adidas, Coca Cola. etc. etc.)

Isn't Razer already sponsoring them? Their LoL division has been sponsored by them forever.

I guess it is proven by the many Koreans that left their teams to join foreign teams that give out more salary... Stephano is a great example of that right? so is Parting?
I'm not saying there aren't any "pros" that are only in the scene for the passion of the game. (Major is a great example) But saying that salary is at the bottom of their priorities is very naive .
