With the thread about the ending ceremony every GSL final being their absolute favorite moment of the entire SC2 e-sports scene, I have decided to go back and grab every ending moment with the GSL champion taking his deserved make out session with his new trophy. I am sure many people have been awaiting this type of thread for a long time, and I am happy to give you these moments to save forever. The poster of the Soulkey kissing trophy thread said that Soulkey was the best kisser of the GSL trophy in history, but do you agree with him?
I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Why do they keep doing this, it makes no sense to me, as it doesn't ever seem like they genuinely want to kiss the trophy.
apparently soulkey wouldn't catch a grenade for that trophy, his eyes were open, why were they open. 555555 (grenade by bruno mars reference if you didn't notice) if soulkey closed his eyes i'd give my vote to him else Mvp

"Koreans" in the title is weird wording. Not like there are any foreigners that have gotten the chance to kiss a GSL trophy, and they probably would have looked just as funnily awkward. Great gifs nonetheless :D
MC looks like he's nurturing it, so glad that his darling is close, just happy to hold her there to his face. ^^ Jjakji's was the only one that looked a bit like a real kiss with any real interest, no?
MMA looks like he's trying to play a flute or something in his first pic... but admittedly he was much improved the second time around. Also I guess it's good jjakji won that GSL because we know Leenock's kiss would have been unbearably awkward

is it just me or the trophy is getting uglier each time? the 1st few were the usual quality trophies we've seen in competitions and then it becomes shampoo bottles and some weird shape.
When I win GSL, I'm going to French-kiss the shit out of that mofo. Never before or again will it get so much tongue, and I'll definitely have a form that lets the audience clearly see what I'm doing.

I dunno why people find it akward (god i hate that overused word here) These players got something they had to work superhard for and they show their emotion.

It was a pretty underrated finals imo. A lot of people didnt watch because of the time (was held in NA) + ZvZ but it went to 7 games and the last game was exciting imo. Plus I was cheering for Sniper so that was fun.

Haha, this thread is priceless. I saw Fionn's post in the Soulkey thread and thought: "Well, that'd be awkward to see gifs from all the champions so far making out with their trophies"... And here we go :D The Roro one was kinda hilarious and in the second one from Mvp, in which he looks like he's drinking from the trophy, a shyly - smiling Losira, Yoda with short hair and an awkward smile+ Mvp/camera avoiding gaze and the almost forgotten engineer Happy appeared!
Soulkey Kissed with his eye's open... Terrible form... My vote goes for DRG, not because of the kiss itself, but because his follow up smile. It's like he kissed a girl for the first time.

It's for pictures. The kissing of the trophy is the key shot for any reporter to put in front of their article about the final. It's similar to the NHL where they have the entire team take a victory photo on the ice with the Cup after they all have their moment carrying it around the ice.
They have both finalists actually practice kissing a fake trophy (or it could be the real one) before the finals, making sure they're ready to actually do it in the best way before they actually win it. Seeing as the final season of 2012 was rushed and in Las Vegas, wouldn't be surprised if Sniper never got the pre-game training on how to properly make out with his trophy.

One of them totally needs to 'dip' the trophie, like dancers/weddings do, then go in for the kiss with full tongue, macking out. That would be fucking epic.

Yeah that would be wicked, I still remember Mvp's smile when he won his 4th GSL, was glorious, seeing the reactions of the other champions again would be fantastic.
