The Norwegian Zerg who most notably placed fourth in DreamHack Valencia 2012 has joined the prominent British team, Team Dignitas.
TargA was studying/living in Australia for quite some time, until moving back to Norway to focus on SC2 (and Dota 2 apparently!). Unfortunately he did not qualify for WCS.
Team Dignitas was one of the best teams in 2010 and 2011, with three top tier players in SeleCT, SjoW and NaNiwa, but after the departure/retirement of their star players, they never got back up there, even though they have decent mid-tier Europeans in BlinG and Tefel.
Team Dignitas SC2 roster:
BlinG
DreAm
Ourk
TargA
Tefel

Personal opinion:+ Show Spoiler + I recall the Dignitas boss, ODEE, being critical of SC2 players demanding more than they know they're worth. Even way back at the very start of SC2, he wasn't very willing to pay salaries to players, instead offering them all-expenses paid trips to events. Dignitas is a huge organisation, in that they field teams for many games, much more so than most professional organisations out there, so keeping costs relatively down for each division would make sense, especially if there's no guaranteed return of investment. Eitherway, it's really nice to see them pick up someone like TargA.

PS: the most interesting bit in that article, is that one of the reasons for the new recruit is to help them out in team leagues, the ESL EMS, and another team league that is yet unannounced. Could this be EG's project (which probably replaces EGMC?)

DAVAY TARGA!!!!!!! #BestplayerEU! Too bad IPL6 didn't happened were he was qualified too :/
ipl6 not 4 lol
YES! TargA is still an honorary Australian so it warms my heart to see my countrymen get on a team he deserves. Also happy because this means Dignitas is going to rebuild and hopefully become real title contenders again in the foreign scene.
Congratz!!! Glad to see him moving on up.
TargA fighting!!! Either I haven't been following this guy in WoL, or his skill spiked alot in HotS. :D
so what im getting by this is Dignitas is basically not wanting to be a top organization? They'd rather save money for multiple gaming teams? I miss the SeleCt / Naniwa / Sjow days. Need more top teams. Not more top teams stepping down. T.t

Nice! Good to see Dignitas picking someone up. I miss Dignitas being a contender team. Also, I rather like TargA.
Dignitas finally getting back on the bandwagon. Haven't heard much from them at all other than Bling since Select and others left.
Good to hear from Dignitas again after so long!
So no more DotA 2 ?

T.t It's just a personal opinion, they've been a 'top organisation' for a long while, but they probably think that they can give better value for their sponsors if they're visible in as many gaming scenes as possible. Apparently, one of the reasons why Dignitas was not invited to the G7 (an organisation made of the best and biggest professional organisations) for the simple reason that they didn't have teams for the games that were deemed to be most ESPORTS at the time (CS 1.6, Quake 3, WarCraft III) - or didn't have top teams, but would rather recruit the best UK team, for example. They've changed this up a bit recently, they do have successful teams in Dota 2 and LoL, and their SC2 players are still pretty good, they just don't have a title contender in that lineup, like Fnatic's SaSe, mouz's MaNa or Western Wolves' SortOf/Sting, whilst other foreign teams have 2 or 3 title contenders (Liquid, EG, Acer, Empire, Millenium).

=/ Dignitas unable to become a significant organization in SC2 anymore... Glad they picked up TargA and are giving him opportunities. Great guy! But kinda sad that a huge orga isn't willing to invest in any huge talent.
for some reason I thought Dignitas was dead o_o
The former sk-gaming forum troll has come far! Grats to Targa
Happy for you Targa, know that we follow your games and cheer for you!
That's cool, I like TargA very much, one of my favourite foreign Zergs. Good to see him finding a proper team to make it easier for him to practice and so forth.
so he isnt living in krefeld anymore near takes flat?
Good job targa! Your mechanics are maybe too fast for your own good, as sometimes you're dazzled with indecision... but you'll go far with the right mindset!
Targa's probably the best thing to happen to Dignitas in a while
Grats, Targa still waiting for his breakthrough performance, perhaps Dignitas can help him achieve that!

It's always the first thing coming to my mind when i read the name Targa. That said, i loved trolling those forums too but it's quite some time back and i guess they're dead now? Didn't visit them for quite a while...

He's really good (or was good in WoL, coz that's the last time I saw him play), but not qualifying to challenger is a bit of a blow tbh :/

yeah.. he is sick

I like that. Picking new/rising talents and taking a little risk is way better for esport than fighting over already overpaid stars. The man may bloom into a very good player because having such a team encouraged him to pursue his SC2 career.
Finally he gets a team! now i cant wait to see TargA owning up at lan tournaments!
This is exciting. Looking forward to see TargA in some teamleagues in the (near) future!

Congrats Targa! NORWAY HWAITING!!!

Congratulations TargA, i'm so happy for you. I hope you will enjoy your stay in Team Dignitas!

Dig sails a sound ship, sadly they lack the flare and initiative to ever become great. They're like a dreamhack without the shows.
