While Nestea easily passed onto the Ro16 in WCS NA, things were a lot harder for his illustrious teammate LG-IM_Mvp in WCS Europe. Although he easily defeated Empire|Siw in his first match, he suffered a rough 0 - 2 loss to DIMAGA in the winners match, ceding first place in the group to the Ukrainian Zerg.
Mvp then had to face aTn.Socke in the final match, which ended up being a close call for Mvp. Socke won the first map with the help of DT drops and was close to winning the second, and Mvp was only able to pullback and take the 2 - 1 series win by the slimmest of margins.
DIMAGA and Mvp progress to the Ro16 rounds played live in Europe, while Siw and Socke fall to the Challenger League.
WCS America: 'Americans' still looking for representative as AX.Alicia and Nv.mOOnGLaDe take group H.
The story of WCS America thus far has been that no players from the American continent have advanced, and that held steady for yet another group as Korea's AX.Alicia and Australia's Nv.mOOnGLaDe triumphed over Mexico's Maker and the USA's mouz.Illusion.
As expected, the Korean player Alicia advanced in first place, leaving it to the 'foreigners' to fight it out for second. Maker dropped out first, leaving Illusion and Moonglade to duke it out for a valuable Ro16 spot. Moonglade eventually emerged victorious 2 - 0 in the end after a tough and hard fought series.
MoonGlade played one of the scrappiest games I have seen in a while and it was a blast to watch. And MVP proves again that he is unstoppable and loves Europe.

4-3 against Europeans is hardly 'unstoppable', even given lag issues.

I completely agree. I really appreciate the work you, Waxangel, has put in but I did prefer how it was previously when you at least could go to the forums without being spoiled. I think it was a reasonable balance; if you plan to only watch the vods and don't wanna get spoiled - then don't go to the front page of a news website (teamliquid) or read recent interviews, articles, twitter and such. But if you can't even go to the forums without topics spoiling you well... personally I will stop visiting teamliquid all together (I don't have time to watch everything live and I really don't like being spoiled) and that is really sad FOR ME, not for teamliquid who Im pretty sure would do just fine without me.
But if the community likes it this way, I definitely can see what's positive about it, then I totally accept that and respectfully take my leave (at least for now) of this awesome website.

Have you tried the hide spoilers option?
Oh my sweet lord, there is such a glorious option? Now where would one find such a function, I wonder...
If you are not trolling or something, then thank you very much!

I still dont see the point of this thread. Dont we just go to respective LR Thread or wiki to see the result as usual? So theres gonna be Inno+PartinG make out of Group B thread as well or something? (my question has nothing to do with spoiler)

I think It's because they don't want to do a full news article to recap every day in na/eu wcs like they do for gsl.

I think its pretty obvious the viewership + general following of the NA and EU tournaments pale in comparison to the KR tournament, especially going from todays KR group. These updates are nice to spread awareness ^^

What difference does it make to you? If you don't think the thread is worthwhile, just ignore it. I like it, I wouldn't bother checking for the results otherwise and it's nice to see at a glance who advanced.

These threads are only for the bigger stuff that don't have Recaps in Featured News. There will be a bigger write up for the GSL

It's on the front page, here.
That only hides the spoilers on the front page. If I access the forums I will still see "X and Y players won the group!" as the title, and that sucks when you try to avoid spoilers :/
Moonglade and Dimaga impressed me a lot, they showed some real courage hope they can go far. MVP and Alicia played pretty good. I stil think people who make a big deal of lag have to remember they didn't have to play on EU or NA, they could have been Code A korea.
Had mvp / Socke as winners. Got really surprised by Dimaga. His play was really impressive and he was so happy in the after interview... Well done by the zerg from the east.
I wished wcs korea got more points than the other regions, and have more players get through to the big stage (its not like that right now, is it? otherwise im looking like a fool here-_-). I fear that now, when the 3 regions will clash, there will be a huge skill disparity, even with koreans getting through in US and EU regions. Oh well, if the final games are good, thats alright with me.
Man... that joke hurt more to make than I thought it would. The way WCS NA has played out so far has proven a lot of my fears about the non-region locked format to be true and is a huge disappointment. I was really hoping that this format, when originally announced, would help create a thriving Starcraft II professional infrastructure in NA, but looking at the way this tournament is going I'd be surprised if there is any real progress in our scene over the next year. What incentive do teams and sponsors have to support training houses if Koreans and Europeans are just going to run roughshod over the local guys and take all of the major airtime?
And it will probably end with zero players from NA or SA in the Ro16. Major and cKiller have to beat HerO and Alive. Scarlett I'd think would have the best chance, but she's injured, and she (and State) are in a group with viOLet and Oz. Idra and Goswser have Polt and Revival. Suppy has Ryung and Heart. Huk has Sen and Crank, and no ping advantage since he's playing from Korea too. So pretty much either Scarlett wins some ZvZs while broken, or NA Zergs have to win ZvTs against Korean Terrans.

God damn, every thread you see this, this is a world championship, in no way do the people qualifying have to have equal amounts from each country.
Mvp!! Oh YEAH
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the best players going to the finals, even if it's (almost) all-Korean. The thing is that it's American ground they are playing at, you expect American to step up and make upsets.
Why on earth would people think this would immediately turn things around for America? Even when the culture changes to be more accepting to professional gamers and even if it's more region locked in the future so more players can make a living doing this, it's still going to take YEARS to catch up to the Koreans overall.

I wonder what the fuss is all about? If you find time to visite the forums before you actually watch the games, then they aren't really meaning that much to you anyway. DONT COME HERE BEFORE YOU WATCHED YOUR GAMES. It is that easy. This kind of crying is rediculous. Do you think other media have "spoilers" excluded?? Media exist to inform. You are the problem, not TL, the forums or whatever.

"If you find time to visite the forums before you actually watch the games, then they aren't really meaning that much to you anyway."<-You're very wrong. I don't always have the time to watch the 4 hour VODs, but I could have a few minutes to browse e-sports news. TL is not only WCS EU/NA news, it is the whole of SC2, and other games. "Do you think other media have "spoilers" excluded??"<-We are not talking about other media here. TL has had the option to hide spoiler results for years, but now with WCS NA/EU just doing a thread on the general forum, it is not possible to hide it. Just a simple thing such a change of the name title works ("WCS NA/EU results" instead of "X and Y advance"), but the news section has been there for a long time now.
