Answer: Anyone can make a twitter account (as it is free) and anyone can put in that twitter profile and say "I am so and so." And post content in another person's name. It doesn't mean that it is actually the person they say they are who is doing it. What would be more confusing is why he would make a secondary account to slander himself when he is trying to earn the trust of the public. What sense does that make? The owner of the @EGiNcholesteroL account is obviously a very dedicated anti-mewby fan. He was the person who tweeted the video of mewby and incontrol to me over a month ago. The then deleted his tweets, and only the responses we sent to him remain. Someone posted this somewhere on page 4 or so. The guy is obviously still trying to trick people into thinking it is actually Mewby's account by posting relevant information. So, hopefully that clears that up for you or anyone else. It is really the last I hope to hear about it. I don't really see why it's confusing in the first place. Cheers~ | ||

So you don't have proof. You have your word, and a screen shot of a person on an account which may or may not be his. Anyway, whether it is really him or not is irrelevant because of how outdated that is. Why do you feel the need to bring something that is over a year old up now? If it really was mewby, I'm sure he regrets the things he said to you, as well as many other people. He apologized for his actions with InControl, which mind you was 9 months ago. And InControl has let it go. He has apologized for the resulting discussion in this thread, to his team mates, to incontrol, to DJ Wheat, to the people within Clarity. So I ask you - Why bring something like this to light if you can't -really- substantiate your claim? It's not like you're coming in here to tell us that "2 weeks ago Mewby BM'd me on ladder, and you shouldn't trust him, he is lying to you and taking advantage of you, here is "x,y,z" for proof." You're just perpetuating the hate, and making my life more difficult. You're not saving us from anything. We know he has an immature and troubling past. You are now just perpetuating this issue with something more minuscule, less proven, and more outdated than the Video from 9 months ago. A video by the way, which is the only -REAL- piece of evidence anyone has brought forward against Mewby and his former immature conduct. We have seen that he has changed. It's incredibly ironic that is for sure, but someone for some reason doesn't like him, which given the way he was may not be too surprising. Now is the chance for him to rise above this level and if who ever is using that acct (seriously wish Twitter did SOME kind of moderating, I mean I understand free internet but for people to blatantly take someones else's identity for the sole purpose of making fun of that person shouldn't be tolerated), if who ever is using that account remains that way it will only show the growth of the other party and time and again it's been shown that the bigger party, the one that rises above this sort of crap, is the one that gets the last laugh in a much better position and happier situation all around. Examples like Husky Starcraft compared to CombatEx, heck even Destiny matured a lot and was better for it when he did, with thousands of followers until he slipped up and it only hurt his career but he's bouncing back from it in his own way. The ball is in his court but I actually am beginning to feel bad for him if he's genuinely turning a new leaf because it will be hard to make up for some of the things coming to light like the possible racist remarks where, in EG's case, an announcer who's past came to let didn't get off so lucky and was immediately terminated. The ball is in his court and also his peers who seem like genuinely great guys, no matter how this turns out he's lucky to have met them. | ||

I think the basic idea that he completely overshadowed his fellow teammates/the team formation announcement because he's so BM is worth enough, let alone the fact that he doesn't want to show his face to a community he's shown his true self to and we didn't appreciate all that much. Oh, and great passive aggressive address Clarity Gaming. "If you don't support us because of Mewby, then you never supported us." Bullshit. What if ROOT or Complexity had said that when they had Destiny on their rosters? A guy who has done nothing but shown how douchey he can be doesn't deserve my support, and I don't appreciate his team telling me I have to if I'm a true fan. I mean, the guy doesn't want to show his face. Doesn't that throw up enough red flags? | ||

I'm sorry but if a respectable organization such as EG knows when it's time to cut the rope because of a racist past then I would think smaller organizations like CG would follow. It's a useless argument lazy people bring out when they have nothing useful to add to a discussion. If you are not offended by racial slurs, good for you. A lot of people are, however, and letting community members who use them go around pissing people off for no good reason without being criticized just leads to a community where less people will be comfortable in a lot of situations. That doesn't mean that I think it's a good idea to start a witch hunt for anyone who ever says something stupid, obviously, but it's at least something that can be adressed and criticized. | ||
