He's out of the game, retired from coaching. He initially rejects to help EG-TL, until he's up watching the games one night and sees Hero's pretty face crying after a match. He then sees team Woongjin star's players doing a douchey victory performance like pretending to wash dishes. After a lot of "I'm too old for this shit", inspired by Hero's innocence, he decides to get back into the game.

In comes this super coach, and a dramatic training montage to rock music plays for a few minutes. The next game EGTL goes 0-3, down to the last player, and he loses all his workers and goes down to a 100 supply deficit. It looks like all hope is lost and then he turns it around and wins the round, and the next, and the next until we're 3-3 in the ace match. Dramatic as fuck music plays and the very last round goes into slow-motion camera micro for the EGTL wins. They end up winning the whole season.

This is exactly what's going to happen!

All this optimism for EG-Liquid

Well considering how successful the T1 zergs have been, this can be a great move for the team. Only time will tell as there is a long wait before proleague starts up again and with it being HOTS, all bets are off on which players will be successful.

When does round 4 actually start?

I don't know. I heard that it was a month after the HOTS release so most likely in April. Possibly at the end of march. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can give a more specific date.

boxer was pretty much the head coach for the entirety of this season, and coach park was more of an "adviser" role (hint hint, skt likely didn't recontract him for some reason or there was likely some disagreement of sorts).

I can't imagine Boxer’s ego being able to deal with an other coach working with his team, especially one so accomplished. Two type A personalities is always bad for any group.

What do you know about Boxer's "ego"? Do you know him personally or what

No and neither do you, so don't act like it. But no one gets as good as Boxer at something without developing a healthy amount of pride and ego. The same would go for Coach Park. You couldn’t have two super bowl winning coaches in the NFL work together either. These people need their space to do the work they do and direct a team.

My point is I wouldn't call anyone to having a big "ego" without actually having met the person. It's a reasonable conjecture but it's just silly because people will read it and actually believe it despite you have no actual experiences with the person to back it up

I know your point, Milkis, I just don't care. I am entited to my opinion of Boxer based what I have read. I do not need to meet him personally or have dinner with him to confirm this opinion before expressing it. The man has an ego.

you should never ever judge someone based on nothing or on just a first impression, so many people do that. It's one of the things I hate the most and so many people do it too.

Huge news for EGTL.

Hopefully if SKT let Park go, Oov might be coming out of the army soon! :D

I'm interested to see if he can repeat his success given that EG-TL have many other priorities outside of PL (which, of course, is still of great importance) compared to SKT focusing almost solely on Proleague. It would be interesting to see HerO become yet more bisu-like and complain about not having enough GSL practice time :D

They definitely needed to try something, I think this is one of the best ways they could have done it.
Does anyone know what will happen with coach "trot"? Is he gonna be like an assistant coach or did he get kicked out the door?

Edit: for the convo about BoxeR's ego or lack of, I think part of why Koreans are so good is not because they have egos and are cocky, but because they believe it is their duty to succeed. An ego would make them handle losses the way some of the more immature foreigners do

Not sure if EGTL will respond positively to 12 hours + per week of play for 6 days a week. I feel like a lot of EGTL's good players like Taeja and Hero will be worse off due to the potential boot camp like regime, which will come in conflict with the training style they're comfortable with, which is by the way, very very effective as results have shown. Not to mention, Stephano will most likely leave Proleague altogether if someone literally forces him to play in an already less than desired environment. Also, it's probably just me, but i'm getting the vibe that the EGTL players aren't enjoying themselves as a team as opposed to the other proleague houses, which is a factor that can't be remedied with deep pockets or an autocratic coach.

Whoa, this is huge!

I always thought he is a great coach, but i guess i´m a bit biased in that regard

Best of luck to both EG-TL and coach Park.
