PETA is a terrible organization. My wife and I are both animal lovers, both vegetarians, she even works at a shelter full time. But PETA doesn't represent people for ethical treatment of animals at all. They believe that certain dog breeds, like Pit Bulls should simply be exterminated (PETA supports mass-euthanasia for certain breeds). That isn't ethical treatment. According to PETA: Show nested quote +"Nice" families rarely visit shelters in search of pit bulls, and pit bulls from unknown backgrounds don't always make good family additions.
Pit Bulls are better off dead.
Guess what? I have a pit bull, we are a nice family, and our pit had made a great family addition. You tell Sargent he doesn't deserve to live anymore because of his breed, because that is what PETA does everyday: http://www.nhspca.org/category-s/910.htm![[image loading]](http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/gpqpm.sudxr/v/vspfiles/photos/categories/910.jpg?1361277855) By the way, Sargent is an awesome dog who deserves a home. If you have a place in your home for him, you should adopt him. I wish I could. It's not just PETA that is extremely ignorant about pitbulls.
That's why the dog whisperer is so great, he shows pitbulls can be the greatest dogs you will ever have.
Only thing is you need to be very strict who can have pitbulls, but that should be so for all pets imo... way too easy to just ''buy'' animals for w/e purpose that you want.

Yeah, that's pretty sick. Even if we assume, for the sake of argument, that some breeds are somehow "bad", wouldn't it be more ethical to just not breed them anymore and thus abstain from arbitrary killing?
The German section of PETA takes a more moderate stance on pets btw. They basically say that animals should have been left alone, but now that they're here, we should just try and treat them as good as we can. I do agree with them insofar as many pets live so constrained that it amounts to mistreatment. I grew up with cats for example, but those cats were roaming around outside overnight, and sometimes for days. They need that. To keep cats in a small appartment they never get out of produces the crazy, neurotic cats we all know and cat haters hate. A familiy dog is another way of keeping a pet in a good way, because a dog usually gets his fun outside daily and has a lot of company which a social animal like a dog needs. I'd never keep fish in a bowl or birds in a cage. That isn't companionship, that's captivity.

i thought this is a parody -_-
since they are going with it, then

No they don't . Burn them all.

Nice that they have a sense of humor.

Haha, I actually think this is pretty funny. Every real z-player feels it too!
btw, if you're vegan it's not more than consequent to refuse pets. I respect those people a lot more than some "oh, vegans eat the food of my food"-clowns.

It's just light hearted fun to raise PETA awareness. Why the hate?

They should adopt a cute little drone and see what happens... he he he.
Did you guys watch Starship Troopers? There was a mention of some pacifist guys who went to colonize an insect infested world... it's like that.

They literally do what they do for the sole and only reason to get attention from people. They throw stupid or just batshit insane stuff out there that they know will cause controversy or discussion just so people talk about them.
Maybe they used to do good, but now? We should treat them like any other troll and stop feeding them our attention. There are many, many other more worthy animal organizations out there.
