We promised you a while back that we would be adding more players to our StarCraft II division. Last month we added both Pink and Zanster to our academy and now we have more amazing news! As of today, we will be adding Kim "SaSe" Hammar to our Professional StarCraft II squad. The recent additions to our StarCraft squad are a main reason as to why we were so excited for 2013 and we hope you are equally as excited.
Most of you know that SaSe was a member of Fnatic during his time playing WarCraft 3 and it will be a pleasure to have him back for StarCraft II. SaSe has been at the forefront of Protoss innovation in the first expansion of StarCraft II and has been working hard to improve himself for the upcoming release of Heart of the Swarm.
Below you will find statements from both our Chief Gaming Officer, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon and Kim "SaSe" Hammar.
Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon, Fnatic Chief Gaming Officer Today we are thrilled to welcome Kim "SaSe" Hammar to the Fnatic family.
We have had our eyes on Kim for quite some time now, and with the recent reconstruction of our Starcraft 2 division we feel that the Swedish Protoss star is a perfect match for our ambitions and goals in 2013. This is in fact not the first time Hammar sports the Fnatic jersey. In 2005, SaSe was a feared Nightelf representing our Warcraft 3 division, so we are extra proud to be able to welcome Kim back to our ranks once again.
We are confident that the addition of Hammar will boost our divisions strenghts in team leagues, and we have a lot of faith in SaSe in his upcoming events, such as MLG Dallas in mid March. However, the fans will not need to wait long to see SaSe's first official match representing Fnatic. We can now confirm that SaSe will be one of the foreign players to participate in the Taiwan eSports League starting today.
We would also like to thank SteelSeries, MSI, EIZO and Twitch for your awesome support, and let us all hope and work hard for a great 2013 in eSports!
Kim "SaSe" Hammar I am really happy to have found such a stable team in fnatic. Now I feel like I don't have to worry anymore and can focus 100% on improving my play. Fnatic was the first professional team I joined when I was a kid back in 2005. It's amazing to see how much they have grown over the years. I hope as the year goes by I can show a lot of great games and perfomances! Hear of the Swarm is being released soon and it is time to release the new SaSe aswell! Thank you everyone who has supported me and I would be really happy if you kept doing so! Fighting! ^_^
Fnatic was the first team i supported thanks to their old HoN team, (Trixi, Nova, Freshpro etc) so hearing that they are picking up one of my favourite protosses makes me very happy
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Fnatic is back on track with SC2 :D (no offence to Naama, Harstem and NightEnD, but they're not exactly players who can make a big splash except for perhaps NightEnD)
I would to ask. Will SaSe remain in Asia after TSL or would you have him move to the team house thats about to happen in EU? Where will SaSe be living!? ^^
Good thing he's found a team. I haven't heard about him in a long time, last time he made a splash in some MLG but that's it. What has he been doing all this time?

He was in Taiwan playing for Gama Bears in the TeSL. Seems he is still there and will be participating in the individual league now.

I am genuinely interested in why that is ^_^
I never saw them as a good team, I did not think aLive deserved IPL4 and Oz in my opinion is almost as bad as inControl, not to say im good, but im not a progamer, yes i realize alive and oz have left

T_T I also hoped Squirtle would take it all after he had to move heaven and earth to get to the finals, his run was amazing! But I don't see how that makes aLive unworthy of the title?

So the reason you hate them is because... they are not a good team? Wut?
wasn't there a recent report of ikea's meatballs being recalled because they had horse meat in them in the EU???? i mean gratz sase and fnatic but watch out for those meatballs guys

since i am not sure you're thinking of the right person, this is the swedish carn, ex-CS player (and member of the legendary fnatic/SK/whatever team with forest and GTR), not the french sc2 wannabe one.
love this move by fnatic too, sase is an amazingly SMART player, and i cannot wait to see his play on HOTS now that protosses has so many new tricks up their sleeves.

He obviously didnt follow GSTL when they beat Prime and LG-IM >.>
While I do agree Oz has become pretty mediocre, SaSe should do more damage in HotS.
I wouldnt say they fell apart, they spent a shitload into that korean house but it didnt pay off and players like Moon and Oz didnt life up to the expectactions
hopefully some other teamless top foreigners join fnatic, maybe NaNiwa, DIMAGA....or even Grubby
