It would make more sense to just decrease their point value due to their lack of appearances. Hell, even the OP is giving advice not to pick the two... just feels off if it's suppose to be official and informational.

EDIT: When I mean decrease, I mean start with a decreased point value rather than let it decay overtime.

EG-TL has really messed up anti-team in the first two rounds. :/ Picking anti is supposed to be really hard but so far it's been easy in that regard. Kinda glad they're off limits because eg-tl has different priorities than other PL teams, and we even get to see line-ups in advance these days.

Good point. But why is Idra still allowed on anti-team? The low number of points on his part make up for him probably never going to play in PL. I feel like we can decrease their point values just enough so anti-team wouldn't be an obvious choice and make it so they're actually viable as part of one's team.

Feel like this doesnt cover the angles, yes SKT have underperformed so far but they have the players to be a top level team.
Even if SKT hold form so far they are an absolute steal for 1 point, and given that they did better round one than round two, and round three is the same format as round one you would have to be mental to not pick SKT for your team.
If you want to give advice based on SKTs mediocre performance it should be this:
Avoid high value SKT players (id make an exception for Fantasy, who has been consistantly great so far
Avoid using low value SKT players to pad your roster, go for ones on less stacked teams, they have better odds of seeing playtime.
If your looking for a low value player to pad out your anti team, consider a SKT player, they are less likely to come out because SKT is pretty stacked despite its poor performance. Low value EGTL players look like good choices because EGTL is also stacked, but based upon results so far low level EGTL players might score more points just by being on the winning team more often.

No, you should avoid every player on SKT. Period. Fantasy and Rain are too expensive considering the herd of consistent and good 5p players. soO should win some game but isn't much better than Light or Terminator (an OK choice). And I won't even mention the rest of the team who all have losing records except for Paralyze and s2 at 3-3 (which are the only 2 player one could consider choosing from SKT aside from betting on soO)
As for taking the team itself, well I don't recommend betting because I don't like not having control of my destiny. R2 was the perfect setup for them, all they needed to do was to have Rain or Fantasy win at least 2 games per match and let their fodder + soO be snipers. And they FAILED ! UTTERLY ! MISERABLY !

If one cannot spare a point to take a 2p team (which is also not a good choice btw), then one could also try playing lotto everyday with the same numbers. Maybe one'll get lucky.

Look at the turn around of khan in R2 though (largely in close series). Going from one of the worst, to finishing 2nd in R2 is no joke. I think it's even more likely SKT1 will go through something similar

Except it's just a bet. I write previews to help people decide not to tell them they should jump off bridges and hope they discover how to swim when they reach the water. I'm not saying it won't happen, nor I am saying I'll be right in the end. I don't predict the future but my educated guesses are really thought-out.

Also and that's something you have to consider : SKT lack a dedicated sniper, only Rain has a winning record vP and it will be tough for them seeing how they are 11 protoss players among the top 20 players in Round 2. That's also the reason as to why Soulkey is having issues right now.

By "anyone" you surely mean "everyone". If Taeja or Stephano are on anyone's team it's because they didn't read the starters AND are hardcore fans. No-one else will take them. There's 0 reason. I'd probably consider Stephano at like 5 for the long run? At most. Taeja less again because of his injury.

Why isn't Stephano able to be picked for antiteam? It doesn't make any sense, and seems so arbitrary. He was on the bench for EG-TL's last match, while Idra hasn't been seen anywhere near proleague and you can pick Idra for anti. Bisu hasn't played in forever and isn't in the week 1 lineup also, why don't you make him unavailable? Just lower his point value if you feel it's necessary. Making stephano off limits was justified when he wasn't even in Korea but I don't see how it's justified now.

People need to stop complaining about Taeja and Stephano. Yes their point value is out of wack, but there is a reason for that.
Fantasy league is fun because it's both competitive and some luck. The way the cost/trade value of players are set, and how that value move week after week is designed in such a way to make the choices difficult, so there is always some risk. The problem is that the formula is designed expecting that the value is to correspond to how many points a player is expected to earn each week.

Taeja and Stephano are ace players, good ones at that. So their value should correspond to their point earning potential. But unlike other Aces, due to injury or scheduling with other tournaments, they are not being used in the line up. That means they have a 0% chance to make any points (out side of +1 for team win). So there is this huge mismatch between their value and how many FPL points they are expected to earn. Picking an anti-team is not challenging or fun, if you can just pick players that aren't in the line up and meet your 13 points requirement.

However you can't just give them really low values, because when they do get to play, they are expected to make tons of points. Since we don't know when they will be able to play again, it's really difficult to pick the right value for them because the expected value of FPL points for them to earn is linear to how many times they are on the line up.

So what's the solution? Give them a high value, expecting them to make 0 (or 1) point and deprecate in value week over week. The trade value I believe is linear to the number of matches they have left, so this will correspond well with their true value when they do get to play again. And then not let you pick them until they are confirmed to be able to play again.

Just pretend that Taeja and Stephano aren't even in the roster, because at this moment, for intents and purposes they are not in the roster. The only reason they are on the list so that you can trade for them later on if they can play again. There is nothing unfair about this rule. Yes there are other players that aren't playing in the line-up in the first week, but they are not ace players. They are worth 3 or less cost. In fact, if we got rid of all the 1 point players, as none of them are playing, I bet half the fantasy teams would be destroyed because they rely on getting worthless player to free up cost to get more high value players. They simply aren't worth enough cost to break the FPL scoring system. In the end it just comes down to math. Fantasy league is fun because the admins try to do a good job of estimating the expected scoring capability of each player based on past data, and then the formula is designed to make every trade and pick involve some amount of risk. Picking Taeja or Stephano for anti when they aren't playing provides a huge reward for 0 risk, and that's not fun.

I strongly agree with the scoring changes, thank you.

There is a little (but KEY!) mistake in the name changes:
Jaehoon -> Agro
should be Jaehoon -> Argo.

Never though I'd see the day Jaehoon was worth 8 points, lol,
All in all, not too confident about my team this round, so hopefully things don't go too bad.

I feel like we can decrease their point values just enough so anti-team wouldn't be an obvious choice and make it so they're actually viable as part of one's team.

If we valued them appropriately(say ~7 points each), then their values would decrease too dramatically in weeks 2-5. Then, you'd be able to trade a very low valued player who did ok for Taeja/Stephano when they do play. Valuing them at 9 and making them un-antiteamable is the best solution we could come up with.

Oh, just realized this post explained it much better.

They lost a lot of value due to the AK round and either not performing well due to snipes or not getting played due to benching or teammates AKing.

Wait...what???
Why the HELL is SKT T1 only worth ONE point??
We know their potential, you can't drop them THAT low. Maybe the points are right for all teams except that SKT should surely be 2 instead.

This time around I'm going to take a few lessons learned from Round 1. The key to winning is picking a team that will do well and sticking with players on that team. Too much diversifying really makes it very difficult to gain points, as you often end up in situations were every win for one of your players is a loss in some way for another. With that in mind:

Anti-T!

Main Team
3 (Z)Crazy-Hydra (captain)
Was Solid in Round 1 and for 3 points I think he'll be solid again. Captain because I don't forsee his value increasing enough to warrant a trade to a better player.

8 (P)JangBi
Jangbi has looked solid of late, and I'm putting the majority of my eggs in the Khan basket (*gulp*). I hope they continue to play well

3 (P)JYP
At 3 points and with the potential to play and win in aces, seems like a solid pickup to me. Also he's playing PvZ round 1 so I like the value here.

5 (P)P7GAB(Wooki)
KT is solid and since I already had crazy Hydra he seemed like a good mid tier pickup to me.

8 (Z)RorO
If Jangbi isn't ace hoping Roro will be. He kinda failed me in round 1, hoping he continues his upward trend. I choose him over Stork (and the extra point picking stork would give me) because 1) He's Z and not P (like Jangbi) and 2) I don't have another good reason

1 (T)Turn
He's a 1 point Khan player. Decided early that I'd be able to make a better team if I took some of these higher point players rather than try to get a more balanced team. Hoping he'll gain some points from Khan wins.

2 Samsung Khan
Two points is cheap, and Khan has been looking up. Don't fail me Khan!

Anti Team
2 (T)Major
8 (P)Rain
3 (Z)Savage(Ryul2)

Anti really comes down to trading Rain for Taeja in Round 2. Stats can beat him, and I'm hoping he does. If he doesn't I might be screwed

For me it was between selecting two solid aces and a bunch of fillers or a bunch of well rounded players that will probably win a majority of their matches but not see ace. I went with the latter o_O
