How do you feel about securing a starter all kill?
Last time I was sent out as a starter, I only focused on doing well for game one. And then afterwards, I wasn't able to accomplish anything else. This time I focused on grabbing two kills so I prepared extensively and after I kept on winning game after game, I was able to achieve an all kill.
Overall, how were today's games?
For my first game, I put 90% of my priority on to there. For the rest of the games, I just took my coach's advice and played with a peaceful mindset like I normally do for practices and just played the way my hand guided me to.
Recently, you've been looking really good. What is your secret?
About a month ago, I significantly increased my practice hours. I did nothing but practice and eat so I can't help but wonder if I'm finally starting to see the results of my effort.
You took eight gases with ease.
I worked really hard on responding correctly to the army composition that my opponent had. It's important that I maintain a lot of expansions before teching up to hive if I want to defend against attacks so I decided to play economically.
In game two, you were able to break through the opponent's defense with a twice attempted nydus build.
It was a strategy that I had come up with last night during dinner. If a base is really big then it's easy to break through but if it's a map like Cloud Kingdom that has small bases, then you have to divert the attention of your opponent to somewhere else in order for the strategy to work.
For game three, you really upped the number of corruptors in your army.
I did that on purpose. From a Zerg's perspective, there are no ground units that Protosses have that intimidate us besides colossi. Which is why I figured that I would be fine even if the Zerg's army pushed me back because I would be able to pull through as long as I reduced the number of colossi he had. I also had a ton of money stored up so I was confident.
You are now #1 in most wins.
Up till last week, I was really jealous of the players with nine wins but then afterwards, I was able to secure six wins in just two games. I feel like this is a dream (laughs). I once had a week where I lost four games in a row. I think I was able to redeem myself with those six victories. I still have a lot of games to play from here on out so I think I'll be able to make a lot of good results as long as I keep preparing extensively.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank my teammates for helping me with practice. I also want to thank the coaching staff for never being conservative with their advice. Lastly, I want to thank our team captain, Leta, for always saying great things even though I'm sure he's tired from working so hard.
