Is it even possible to trade captains?

see, light and juni all on my team....good lord. So trading is closed forever now?

Seeing as Sea retired, what's happening with the people who have him as their captain?
Should we PM heyoka with a replacement and our new captain pick?

Nope, that's the only thing your captain does - you can't trade him.

I'm sorry if it has been answered in the thread - 61 pages is a lot to go through - but can anyone explain how the Trade Value is calculated on the "Trade" page? I don't see any connection between the Trade Value from the stats pages and the Trade Values indicated in the trading dropdown boxes. For instance, on the "Stats" page, SongDuri has a trade value of 2.76 but on the "Trade" page his trade value is 13.81.

Regardless of what potential you may have seen, its extremely silly to select a 2 pointer (who didn't even start week one) as your captain. The low point members on your team are the ones you'd want to trade around the most based on the weekly matchups. For a captain, you'd usually want the ace of a strong team. Rain, soulkey, and flash were probably the most common captains.

@yakitate304: AFAIK the raw trade value is multiplied with the amount of games left to play for his team.

R1CH said this a few pages back:

I guess it was just a lucky coincidence that R1CH traded Sea off his team before the announcement. *wink*

So I'm stuck with a retired player that I can't even trade away?
Is this the new strategy, trying to choose players for your anti team that are prone to retire?
|
Will be cleaned up for Round 2 in January no doubt. And anyway, you can trade him away (unless he's your captain, apparently). You just cannot buy him for your anti team now. Same with Horang2 I guess.

Yet another reason why a starter On your anti should earn you points rather than counting as one point against you.

He's my captain so apparently I can't. Otherwise I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Yeah, i guess you're out of luck then. He will still earn you points if EG-TL win, and no danger of negative points.

Time to trade Sea for hitmaN then

I considered at one point taking the safe road and making s2 my captain. I eventually decided to get greedy and got ridiculously burned week1 but if you figure you have a cheap player who will get playing time and is on a good team why not take him and make him captain.
