I feel like Parting obviously wasn't being all that serious with the Suppy remark? Not sure why people are taking it so badly tbh.

How are so many people misunderstanding that part of the interview about Suppy. It is not about looking at his replays or working together with another foreigner to beat him. I am sure Koreans are dissecting the replays of their opponents with their teammates all the time.

Parting says that Suppy goes for a complete blind counter while at the same time clearly lacks the proper practice to understand what he is doing, hence Parting responded by making his attack even stronger that time. He is basically calling Suppy a lesser player and he is right. It is not like he went out of his way to say that - he was asked a question, he answered honestly.

I loved the line about getting the money as allowance from his mother. Oh Parting <3

Although finals games weren't all that exciting, this tournament was extremely epic as a whole. Congratz Parting!

My pride as a professional gamer could not tolerate such actions, so I decided to show him what for by attacking him even harder.

nice one!

to me, parting has been one of those "faceless" koreans until now, I really liked some of his games. (the immortal pushes are kinda boring to watch, but his execution is really amazing.)
first we make expand, then we defense it.

It's open to interpretation. He mentions how much more Koreans practice than foreigners, and then emphasizes the fact that Suppy got to see Scarlett's replays and learn his timings. His well practiced play was blind countered and he lost to a foreigner because his timings got leaked, and it upset him.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

You haven't tried to keep up with the Korean scene properly then because Parting has been like this for a long time.

You don't need to watch his replays to know his timing given the amount of times he's done it in the past. The funny thing is that he ended up switching it up the next game and lost with a different all in, then went back to doing immortal all ins and winning with them. It obviously wasn't just Suppy knowing his timings that lost him the first game, but rather the fact that he decided to BLINDLY all in against fifteen spine crawlers.

Watching replay at the venue is considered against esportmanship, at least by Korean gamers. This reminds me of the WCG 2006 incident where Sky (Chinese human) somehow got a hold of GoStop's (Korean undead) quarterfinal replays, examined it and dominated him in the semi. It was a pretty big deal back then.

On PartinG's iview, it's cocky in a funny and very honest way. Totally enjoyable

But really, blindly building 15 spine crawlers isn't that subtle an adaptation that you would need replays for it. To me it sounds like he found building 15 spine crawlers unprofessional, rather than the talking to Scarlett. Either way, his statement isn't very clear (much less why any of it would make him "break down psychologically").

Lots of drama queens, and Parting ain't one.

The guy talked about "offended" that Suppy tried to win him just blindly going mass spines. He is being COCKY, not a drama queen. I can understand that.

Being cocky is Parting's persona. The people questioning Suppy & Scarlett are the drama queens.

Are you serious, what is there to leak? Why would you need replays to know when his attacks arrive? The Scarlett games were streamed to the whole world.

I agree with monsterDrakar. Still a little unclear to me why he "broke down psychologically", but whatever, maybe he just has a lot of pride.

I don't think it's about helping each other before a match. I think it's more than he built 15 spine crawlers blindly with no scouting information.

This.

Also, Parting likes to have bold and sometimes dramatic answers...I'm sure his soul as a progamer isn't wounded at all.

He probably saw it as a cheesy blind counter, something that many pros would get a bit annoyed with. And the part you quoted seemed to me like he just wanted to emphasise that it just made him want to win even more (playing like a professional gamer would). The only thing you can really get out of his answer is that he consider himself a better sc2 player than suppy.
