They will switch the second its in tournaments. A lot of them are already in the beta and play in their free time (whenever they have some)

I pre-ordered hots from the Swedish site webhallen and got a beta key one hour later, really good offer.

They don't ship internationally (outside of sweden and denmark).

I'm wondering if I should buy it from Amazon or from games.co.uk. I live in Europe, Belgium, the beta and the full game should work in both cases, right? I'm a bit scared to order a game that won't work because of my region or because of the language (My WoL is in french but I don't care if I get HotS in french or english).

I don't even want the box, I just want a digital download and the beta to go with it.

The beta keys are just a promotional item on some sites. Blizzard has not made a decision to give out beta keys for pre-orders. (Yet?)

Because Blizzard would rather have Amazon feature HotS on their front page and hype the expansion. It is a good way to market the game. Amazon wants sales and giving them beta keys is a good way to secure them.
If you are buying it from Blizzard, you are already on their site and were going to buy the game anyways. They want to reach the people who are NOT on the SC2 site or TL.

Yes, but i have a EU Wol account, so if i want to by a US Hots account I need to also buy a US Wol account. Even the Global play will allow you to play on every server you want, you still have to buy hots in the same zone than your Wol account... (cf Blizzard FAQ)
