So we found out recently most of the players reamaining on SlayerS had found a new team (or were in discussions).
Dark wearing T1 uniform, seems he has joined as a trainee (contract isn't finalised yet).

Good luck to Dark, will be interesting to see where the other players end up.
[ Did a quick search, found no thread on this. apologies if it already exists. If there is any more info, send me a pm and I'll add it to the OP ]

SlayerS was never part of the ESF. And even if it was, since SlayerS is no more, Dark wouldtn´t have been an ESF player.

I guess I'm being paranoid about this, but if the agreement works this way, KeSPA teams could easily just buy ESF teams and make them "disband" to get their players.

Woo! I was hoping to see Dark go to an awesome team, and I couldn't be more happy with him going to my favorite BW team Congrats!

KT to sign MMA next and have him slay Dark in pro-league, that would be fitting.
Congrats to Dark and SKT.

The no trade thingie also involved slayers. The difference is that slayers disbanded so it's not a transfer, skt just picked up a teamless player who happened to have been a ex slayers member. Think of it as a loophole.
@Mandalor: There currently is no eSF team that kespa could "just" buy, all remaining eSF teams are very stable financially and have big enough sponsor contracts going on that you can't just buy them if you feel like it.

Just imagine SKT vs. KT next time around... Boxer vs. Son of Boxer o.o

Woot! This will be a strong SC2 Team

I guess I'm being paranoid about this, but if the agreement works this way, KeSPA teams could easily just buy ESF teams and make them "disband" to get their players. It doesn't really matter whether KeSPA could find a legal loophole in their agreement, the point is that ESF has leverage. If KeSPA fucked them over by breaking the agreement or the spirit of the agreement, then ESF would withdraw from OSL and stop all cooperation with KeSPA/OSL. And they may force foreign organizations to take sides telling them "you either work with us or KeSPA, but not both". It would hurt both parties terribly and therefore KeSPA cannot just do whatever the hell it likes. A small version of this was seen when KeSPA didn't want to participate in GSL initially, and ESF then withdrew temporarily from the OSL.
Regarding Dark: Good for him, hope he does well in SKT1. It is always sad when someone dedicates a considerable amount of their youth to progamming and then ends up with almost nothing to show for it.

Why does Prime have to ask for financial support on reddit then?

Final and unquestionable evidence that SKT1 is in fact the Dark side

Even better, an MMA vs Fantasy matchup.

From Miya's interview, it disappears that he has also found a team and in the final stages of discussion.

Dark is very good, good pick up for them.

ESF doesn't really have any real leverage in that hypothetical situation, I mean when kespa buys all esf players, esf has no players that they can pull out. And foreign organizations, like mlg, would never side with esf. MLG gets way more hype because of the kespa than any other esf player could ever achieve.

Most kespa teams are stable and the real stable esf teams are Startale, FXO, LGIM, TSL and MVP.
I think we have a little too much teams now and i believe eventually we will cut down even more to less.

Wonder what will happen with NASL. Dark has been doing well and have a good shot to qualify, but I doubt Kespa will let him compete in NASL finals if he qualifies...

I'm glad Dark found a team, has a lot of potential!

Seeing as how SKT T1 Head Coach BoxeR was at the final GSTL match of SlayerS, I knew this would happen.
Congrats to Dark!
|
Congratulations Dark and SKT! Dark's been good when I've seen him and now being under BoxeR and the SKT banner, I'm sure he'll develop into an even better player.
|
hope Dark can prove he deserves Boxer's vote of confidence... out of everyone in slayers, it should be an honor he got picked up by him first.

Waiting for Light vs Dark matchup.

Glad to see a Slayers player finding a new home! He will be in the top very soon!

cool, that Kespa is picking up some Slayers players, love it!!! So thsi means that kespa takes the ESF players very serious.

i think the concept of the license and courage is pretty much dead at this point.
