Just so everyone knows, during today's GSL rundown, it was confirmed that Bogus has changed his ID to Innovation. This is slightly big news since it confirms that Innovation on the Starcraft 2 ladder, who has been having win rates up around 70% the last few seasons on the Korean GM ladder (which only Life has been as good on ladder), has actually been Bogus. This has been brought up in interviews before, but with the name change, I guess we can confirm it.
No need for confusion now that you know.

I see this as the next instance of Fin/MyWay. Just a player that decides randomly to get a worse ID out of nowhere, before noticing that everyone actually knows them under a different ID and they begrudgingly switch back to that a few weeks later.
I am not a big fan of when pros change their tags, I think names like Bogus, and Zergbong are really indicative of how young they were when they started. Makes me just kind of chuckle, because they clearly thought it was cool at some point and time.

I agree that the new ID are usually worse. But they are not always terrible in the first place, like Luxury, or Kwanro Luxury -> Practice (why Lux ?) Kwanro -> forhitech YellOw -> MS

If KeSPA is going to tightly control their players the way they do, they could at least enforce better IDs. This isn't as bad as BaBy --> ty, but I still like Bogus better.
Frankly it doesnt matter what he changes his id to. Names get ingrained to a point that it doesnt matter. Kal is kal, not goojila, Bogus will remain bogus, yada yada.

Baby actually made sense cuz he was like 14 when he started. Now he's grown up and wants a new name.
Chances are, though, We'll pull a Kal and still call him Bogus regardless (For reference, Kal's been using Goojilla for a while. Now go and count the number of times you see people call him Goojilla and not Kal)
So Bogus has around 70 % winrate on korean ladder . I am expecting great things from him along Flash , Baby and Fantasy . I hope he does well in code S this season .

wow... korean players can be pretty silly sometimes. they just don't seem to know how to market themselves at all. Artosis is raging HARD somewhere right now (and MajOr is thinking he might change his ID to bogus now that it isn't taken...)
Maybe he just changed his id to be like "Sup Bitches, I'm Coming for You" or to gain some fanfare since I feel like Korean pros would've known Innovative was him.

I can just see the headlines now for if he wins something, "Innovation causes constipation" or "Innovation across the nation". In all seriousness both names are original but innovation has a less negative meaning.

Too much hubris. MKP didn't adapt his name until he had demonstrated his superb marine control. Polt didn't adapt the OptimusPrime moniker until after he won the super tournament. Even if Bogus liked the ID he should have waited until he actually innovated something before taking it on.

I'm an STX fan! There were like.. 10-15 of us back in the days of BW. Most of us probably stopped following the team post-SC2 transition... I like Bogus but I wish Kal and Calm would come back . I guess I want BW to come back too but that's just pissing in the wind.
