Why wouldnt EG partner with LG-IM? Someone mentioned that LG-IM was connected with SK, but SK is hardly an SC2 team, with only one (amazing) SC2 player on their roster. Plus, EG and LG-IM share a couple big sponsors such as Steelseries and Intel. This could make a lot of sense.

So I wonder, if this happened, would it be LG-IM-SK-EG-MC-RC? Ha! Obviously not, just looks awesome. In a terrible way.
Without me, it's just aweso.

maybe one of stephano's preconditions was a partnership with tsl:D
and partnerships with slayers have to end sooner or later, look around, jessica can't be someone who is pleasant to negotiate with

not surprising considering EG has zero players who have ever achieved anything.

Damn didn't realize Idra winning 3 or so tournaments last year was no results. Or Puma winning NASL season 2, or many of their other good results.

Man your stupidity just blew my mind.

On topic I am not surprised they disbanded. With boxer going to SKT I had imagined something like this would happen with slayers. I just wonder what's going to happen to the team.

I also wonder if this means EG will get a team house or something in korea (doubtful) but would be cool non the less.

Idra won only 1 tourney involving a korean last year, and that was his teammate puma at iem, everything else was against foreigners

Who's better all-around? The only real competitors are possibly dignitas, complexity, fnatic and Na'Vi. Most teams are really focused into a single game, but EG (and complexity especially) have multiple strong players in multiple games and genres.

Other multigaming clans have accomplished more. The only notable thing about EG is their SSF4 roster because no one else bothers with fighting games.

Wonder what the reasons are. My bet is that EG will open a house in Korea.

Sad for Slayers, but how awesome would it be if EG started a pro gaming house in Korea?

With IdrA, Stephano, HuK, Puma, JYP all mass laddering (and streaming!) in Korea, their skill levels would rocket jump..

I think IdrA would benefit the most from that. He would have the perfect combination of a strong competitive environment whilst still living comfortably with his friends. He would be the old IdrA in a few short months...

not likely, training and starcraft 2 is high priority but also the need to be financially safe and play a game he loves. EG is supporting him as they do the rest in their dreams.

IIRC Huk even when there was a partnership with slayers did not stay at the slayers house. I could be wrong on that though.

Slayers is probably over. Will be recruited by SKT1 (just my guess). I can't see any other NEED to end it unless there is some big drama nobody knows about yet.

Hasn't the partnership been a thing for about a year? I wouldn't be surprised if the contract signed simply ended, and both parties agreed that they wouldn't renew. I'm sure it's simple business, not like Slayers is mad at EG, or EG is gonna make a gigantic power move, or anything like that. In either case, I wouldn't be surprised if EG announces a new partnership before the end of the year so they can keep a consistent environment for Puma and JYP. Housing in Korea is, from what I understand, insanely expensive, so I doubt EG is gonna open a house all by themselves, it makes more sense to find a new partner and continue to give Puma and JYP the training they need while keeping costs down.

This is nothing more than EG trying to bolster its numbers in korea, and dropping slayers as result, in order to make room for their own squad.

I would not count on it. I reckon Jaedong's salary is a tad bit too much for EG to pay wouldn't you? They could afford him for one month then file for bankruptcy.

This might be a bit off topic, and I'm fairly ignorant to the behind the scenes with Kespa, but wouldn't the players on team 8 be getting paid a lot less, since, from my understanding, they're free agents who weren't picked up after their former teams disbanded?

I'm sure Jaedong makes a good living, but I would have to believe that he isn't making so much that if EG wanted to make a power play by trying to buy him, they couldn't. It would likely require them to shuffle things around though.

If there was one esf team who didn't need a partnership it would be LG-IM. They are one of the more stable esf teams.

The depth they have for team leagues is frightening aswell. (not to mention MC for the GSTL)

Wasn't Stephano going to korea? Now he plays vs EG players? Sounds like a road to fail.

Their CS team used to be sick, their fighting game roster is bonkers, they were doing awesome in wow, their quake players are legendary and amongst the best in the world and their Dota squad is doing amazing, so you were saying ? ~
