Well, considering the press release said exactly that...

Side note: Since SlayerS aren't in ESF and most of their players have pro gaming licences for being in the GSL already I wonder if they can be picked up by KeSPA teams if they close their doors.

Poor performances for the players, losing their founder and most recognisable player to his old team, losing Taeja, Crank, Ganzi, Golden, Dragon and Clide and now this. Pretty hectic year so far. Id say the most likely announcement next will be that SlayerS is shutting up shop. Like they have a good roster on paper but a lot of them haven't done anything big in a while although seeing what Dark and Arthur are doing on some of the online qualifiers like NASL is encouraging. Anyway I hope im wrong. There is an agreement that was signed like a few month ago between GSL and Kespa.. No players can move until some point in 2013.

Hmmm I thought it was ESF specifically but anyway it was a nice thought since id hate to see MMA, Genius, CoCa...etc out of teams for long.

It could be that they sorta buy out his lease and use that as their Korean base. Total speculation based on nothing, but an interesting idea nonetheless. Interesting that a bunch of Liquid players also live there... ... =/ So? EG doesn't have many Korean-based players. Why not set it up as a joint EG/Liquid` house? I mean, I know it'll never happen but it's not a terrible idea. It's not like EG has never shared training space with other foreign teams before; HuK and Stephano are both precedents here. Are you suggesting EG/Liquid in GSTL?! That would be awesome. It would indeed. Just make it 'team foreigner' and throw Mana and Naniwa in as well. :-D Bit weak on the Zergs with only Zenio and TLO, but that's a sick Protoss (HerO, JYP, HuK, Mana, Naniwa) and Terran (Taeja, PuMa, ThorZain) lineup.

But I am curious to see what EG will do with it's prescence in Korea, they might start up an EG house at least for JYP and Puma and can fly Stephano, Thorzain, and whoever there if they wanted. Or even shack up in the TL appartment since Huk is already there.

Damn didn't realize Idra winning 3 or so tournaments last year was no results. Or Puma winning NASL season 2, or many of their other good results. Man your stupidity just blew my mind. On topic I am not surprised they disbanded. With boxer going to SKT I had imagined something like this would happen with slayers. I just wonder what's going to happen to the team. I also wonder if this means EG will get a team house or something in korea (doubtful) but would be cool non the less. Took the words out of my mouth. Also huk winning 2 mlgs!

I know that Idra said that he had no plan to go to Korea, but a team with JYP, Puma, thorzain, Stephano Idra could be competitive in GSTL (admitidely Idra is the weaker of the bunch, but it looks like he has been playing better lately).

Fnatic and dignitas might be able to challenge that, but EG has extremely good presences in Dota 2, Starcraft 2 and the fighting game scene, plus the remnants of World of Warcraft. They've also still got n0thing so they haven't completely severed their ties with CS.

Dunno who fear is but jwong is Justin Wong, a fighting progamer... pro fighting gamer? whatever. He's been on EG for a while Also I had completely forgotten that EG and SlayerS were in a partnership so no big deal to me
