you know who you are, find yourself other things to do or DO BETTER some of their players? you wanted to say half the team? LzGamer, Incontrol, Machine and Demuslim never do well in offline tournaments. And i would even fire Idra because he is not professional, he is bad mannered and not a good sportsman. It's a good thing you aren't the manager of EG then. Idra over the course of his time with them has brought them (and their sponsors) more exposure than any other player on any other team has. Also, Demuslim has had some really good results, he is just inconsistent.

Seriously now, how can they say they're the world's best video game team? Best at what? because it's not starcraft, it's not dota 2 either. They have some of the best SC, DotA 2, SF, etc. players. They've also had tons of success in the past. It's a combination of having really good teams in TONS of games, as well as having a legacy that spans more years than a majority of e-sports entities. what? EG Does not have 'some of the best dota2 players' sorry, thats just how it is.

since Boxer left to SKT1 this is not really a surprise, and if EG pulled out of that partnership it wouldn't surprise me either... just sad to see Slayers having such a hard time and losing so many players recently I wish them good luck and hope, the Emperor is not done with them, yet!

Personally I hate them because they have no successful homegrown talent. They just buy up talent at the expense of other teams that raised that talent from nothing. I find it hard to root for that, especially when most of them have done worse on EG than they did on their previous team.
Flame me if you want, but that most people who dislike EG will cite at least a part of what I said above.
And if they recruit MMA, my favorite player, I'm afraid I will have to jump ship on being his fan.

Well if you stopped being his fan because he joined EG you really weren't much of a fan anyway.
Also They do have some homegrown Idra . That's about it though (idra went to EG very early in sc2 and he was with eg pretty much since sc2 came out).

LOL still can't believe people are mentioning the "worlds best video game team" thing.
Personally I think something they already use in statements/press releases they give out sounds better.. "North America's premier professional gaming team" .. yeah I think that sounds better (is also more accurate).
But honestly, some of the reactions are just hilarious... they are just marketing themselves.

Why are they now not partners? It might be because now no EG player other then puma isnt doing well in korea.

I'm not a blind fanboy to anything. There are things players that I am a fan of can do that would cost them my following. MMA joining EG is one of them and if he were to do it I would have no problem never having been considered a true fan.
And Idra hasn't done nearly enough to be considered homegrown talent. Homegrown yes. Talent no.

I mean he was good in beta and 2010, but there's a ton of players that were good in beta that nobody claims are that great anymore.

EG only gave him exposure in SC2 scene, almost everything that was being said about him was just a continuation of a few year story. Both his mannerism and mechanics (2 biggest distinctive features of him as a player) were grown elsewhere.

Idra is CJ entus talent if anything, but his recent success you can claim as his own or EG's. If the EG curse has any truth to it I believe it's only cause is EG treating it's players way too good. I mean when Idra first came over from Korea he adopted the stance "you don't need to practice to be good at this game." That ignorance continued until he started falling off. I don't know if he was trolling viewers or what but EG should've put a stop to that if he was for real, but it seems like they were treating him like a prince at the time and giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think the freedom and security that EG gives the players may be what's hurting their performance, but should we be hating on EG for treating their players so well that their play may decline, or should we hate other teams for stories you hear of player abuse or working B teamers like slaves. Seems like more hate on EG from threads like this.
