Well, the co-op they did do was quite good and helpful! Gonna see what's going to end up happening with the GSTL

Keep it up EG. Sad to see the end of the partnership, but looking forward to seeing what is happening in the future for both teams!

EG, disappointed that Stephano took SK's offer over theirs decided to sign MMA instead, hence causing the end of their partnership.

Founded in 1999, Evil Geniuses is the world’s best video game team. this is so funny.

I mean, for CS we got SK, fnatic, that five polish bros who switched team every year and won titles, etc. , for Wc3 we got 4K, SK, WE, mYm, for BW/sc2 we got Koreans. Same goes for Quake/dota/etc. I know Justin Wong won some American titles every once in a while but fighting genre is all but team-based and I can name 35 better Japaneses. Anw, team that covers the most games, yes.

Justin Wong is a legendary figure in the fighting game community. Dismissing him as a guy who 'won some American titles every once in a while' is silly. Ricky Ortiz and floe aren't up to his standard, obviously, but very few people in the wold are.
Long ago, EG was possibly the best Dota team in the world. Fear, Merlini, Demon, Azen and Swiss made a pretty incredible roster. These days they're very good. They aren't the best, but they're arguably the best NA team and top five in SEA, EU and NA (basically, excluding China).
czm and DaHanG are both awesome Quake players and took second and fourth at this year's QuakeCon. Their WoW team still does stuff - what, I don't know because I don't care at all. I know they're still active and competing though.
So maybe they aren't quite the best in the world at any given game, but I'm willing to bet that if you set up a Bo5 tournament with Dota 2, Starcraft, Street Fighter 4 AE 2012 or UMvC3, Quake and CSGO or CS1.6, EG would win. The only real competition they'd have would be from coL, who also have incredible fighting game talent, Dota 2 talent and SC2 players.

Good evening. yea he won a console tourney that no one cared about (and almost no audience too) in a legendary arcade tournament. Not to mention his opponents were reportedly drunk in protest of the stupid organizing.
My point is, sure EG got some decent players/teams across the genres but not contender ones (ok except for JWong). You should not brag about yourself being the best without having the bests.

The zealot-like fanboys of EG are only about as strong as the blind haters that trail any EG topic.

One of them runs the company, does things with investors, essentially controls the company. The other runs the day-to-day affairs.
