SlayerS could be in trouble, but no more so than the average GOM team is. dont forget that jessica herself is pretty rich and her family even moreso.
slayers is now pretty much depending on her funding (the troy online game sponsoring slayers has is also made by a comoany owned by jessica i think)

Think it's a good move for him. Seemed like he didn't like to have to deal with getting sponsors etc and I guess hard to have the responsibly for people getting payed each month. Least that what I would feel.

You do realize that Slayers has always been Jessica's team, right? Boxer's name was just used for public attraction, but the team was always run by Jessica and Cella. Slayers lost there "Face" the most important part for the outside world. I am sure Jessica's a fine team manager as long as she's not doing an PR and stay's in the background. This is already not happening with her Tweets going on currently. For a team this is as bad as it gets tbh. Believe me when I say this, there is more to this deal than just Boxer moving to SKT as coach. We are working with the info we currently have. It says you are from South Korea so if you are Korean your perception of Foreigner culture is different. Foreigner sponsors favor people with bold ideas and who are great spokesperson Look what Jessica did to Eve ... What she said about Dragon... People foreigner companies want to deal are not like her. Just look how much money EG has and look what kind of leadership they have. Now with Boxer gone and Bad PR, you have to virtually be talking about KESPA feeding Slayers so they survive. What? Foreign sponsors? LOL I'm pretty sure Razer and Intel were Korean sponsors. First off, it was Intel Korea (same Intel division who sponsors IM now) who sponsored Boxer only. It wasn't a team sponsor. And Razor no longer sponsors Slayers. Second, I don't think you understand how big of a corporation SK really is. Yes I do understand and that is why I said that the only viable option then would be if SK would be virtually "Feeding" Slayers which wouldn't make a difference if they merged togehter. At least a merger would be taken more positively. I'm not aware that Slayers is in any financial trouble unlike some of the other teams. Slayers won't get shut down simply because of lack of funding. I was talking more specifically in the long run. As a team you should strive for more sponsors than less. Look how much Intel and Steelseries are pouring into EG. Many teams, present almost in every tournament. Of course they had to put a lot of money in Slayers. In addition there is no Korea Intel - Korean division decision has impact on US. If American HQ would have a problem with Slayers PR guess what ? Korean division would not be allowed to continue. The point is that Slayers are losing their figurehead, MMA failed to become the "Star" so Slayers was still recognized as the Boxer's team even though it is owned by Jessica. @farnham I agree the comment was little inconvenient but he has the right to voice his opinion. Jessica simply has different perspective of what "freedom of speech" means (culture perhaps). i was not talking about freedom of speech. he has that as much as jessica has the right to tweet whatever she wants
i was talking about the fact that you dont talk publicly about your competition like that

the reason is simple guys, SKT needs sc2 coach they couldn't find someone better than him.

Well at least he's doing something while resting his shoulder

Fuck yeah, the Empire is whole again. Time to dominate KT for another 10 years.

So he is just abandoning slayers? wtf this is so weird.

Don't underestimate the mind of Boxer. His body might not be the fastest compared to all the young 'uns out there today, but this is man with a great mind.
He revolutionized Terran play back in BW, and even in SC2 has made innovations. He invented/popularized the Viking flower, and I'm sure he had a role in the development of the blue-flame hellion play that the Slayers team used at Anaheim. He's a smart, creative guy.

SKT must have made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Eh, let the newcomers prove themselves first.

also on the other hand its pretty awesome to have another strong female manager like january.

Tired of watching teams dying/merging and people going to..... dota remakes.
I like to stay hopeful but somehow the interest in watching the game just seems to be dying. I find myself just searching for results, or skipping to the ends of games just to see who wins because watching the whole game just takes too long. I'm hoping this is just personal age/maturity and that the same fire I carried with BW is still burning bright in all the young people entering the scene.
And yeah yeah I know nobody has mentioned that slayers is officially dead or merging or whatever, but it's just the thought is all.

This is so big in so many ways I don't even know what to say.

it's also a chance for jessica to show all the retarded fans that she's serious about managing SlayerS and not just a "drama queen".

By newcomers I suppose you mean Slayers, in which case I feel they've done okay. Besides T1 doesn't need everyone anyway, just MMA and the NEX duo.

I was literally drinking water as I saw this topic and almost did a spit-take.

I don't know how I feel about this... Actually no I do... This sucks. Good for SKT but damn... Oh well, I'm sure Boxer will do great things for SKT (again).
LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR.
