Do you mean the whole house or just these three free spots?
The wholse house right now obviously gets some if not all income from the fee the players pay.
These free spots can simply be investment into marketing.

If the house is succesfull in getting players good enough to get exposure they can get sponsors for the house. Players would advertise them as they do sponsors of their team (could obviously be a a lot of conflicting sponsors, but players with huge sponsors wouldn't need a house such as this most of the time).

Sponsors of the house also get exposure from the tournaments they run, streams of the players etc.

This is all speculation btw, I am in no way affiliated with them

theres no way Ret should get a place here.
Hes a well established pro player whose career is just fine atm, this should be given to someone who really needs the break, and would benefit ALOT from it. Rets already a high level player, hes hardly gonna get to the next step in this kind of house imo

In my opinion, they should give a chance to someone who's already shown to have big talent, other than someone who could, maybe in 5-6 months, win a playhem daily..
If we think on a broader scale, we don't need more foreign progamers, we need the ones we have to become much better, in order to be able to compete with koreans.
Let Ret join for esports, let a mediocre guy join for another mid level grandmaster.

And if someone shows more talent then someone who is known already like Ret? Maybe there is someone out there who just needs the right environment to progress to this level where progamer are or even to korean level?
I think, gamer like Ret have their chances and environment to progress and a team house like this is for people who have the talent but are unkown needs to be forwarded.

There are many good points here... I think Ret would do better in a practice house environment; though truthfully at his skill level I believe for him to get any higher it would need to be in Korea. He is just as good, if not better than most foreigners on any given day. I'm all for Ret getting in if it will help his game(it will just for the fact he will be practicing more). I just think for him to climb over a skill "plateau?" he will need to do it where he would be challenged more often then he would in NA or EUR.

Have you tried living in a gaming house in Korea? Ret tried it several times and found it not working for him. Naniwa discussed in his real talk video as well how lonely it was.

I think a training house in the western world could definitly help Ret raise to the next level. He needs a better training enviroment but he does not seem to be suited to live in Korea, so ministry of win could be an awesome fit.

Before I decide whether I'd prefer to see someone like ret or an unknown in the house, I'd be interested in practice methods like if they will do inhouse stuff and if ret would be happy to join in with it. If yes then he would be an amazing help for the others, but since it might not benefit ret as much I can kind of imagine he wouldn't, and perhaps a lesser known player would benefit a lot more..

As I've said before, Naniwa isn't really the best example of how living in Korea is for players. Look at Huk, TLO, Jinro. They love living in Korea. I think it just comes down to the environment you live in. Naniwa had it pretty bad. He only had Sase around. Of course you'd get lonely. Naniwa is also infamous for alienating himself from other people as well.

Ret having issues living in Korea probably has to do with the type of person he is. If he is not comfortable there for whatever reason then so be it. Some players like to be closer to home(i.e.Sheth). I think the MoW is closer to home for him and it suits him better in that aspect; but I stand by my opinion of Ret needing to be in Korea to really reach the level he desires. All the best sc2 players are there, it's hard to argue against it especially if your goal is to be the best.

Well considering this is not only a training facility for players who are not known i fail to see your point.
A player with Ret's XP could be vital for lesser experienced players, also i would like to see if Ret could find the motivation to really "try" to stay focused on the game. In the end your not dealing with a perfect player like you make him sound he is, there is room for improvements specialy on the mental and motivation aspect.

+ a liquid player will be good advertisement.

I completely agree the mental and motivational aspect as well as the impact Ret would have on other players. My point was about Ret's** game in general and Korea. There is no "perfect" player and I'm not saying that about Ret(at least it's not meant to sound that way, my apologies if it does). You would need to read the prior posts to see my point.

Cutting it a bit close ? You bet ! Our first video rendered improperly so our second attempt literally finished rendering 14 minutes before the deadline and then of course there's the time it takes for it to upload to youtube... Our hearts were pumping like mad.

Please note that We've first taken the time to send the e-mail to MoW to be sure it would get there on time and that email was sent about 8 minutes ago.

Also we had to add gameplay video hastily because the video quality on my webcam looked terrible when in fullscreen; there was just no other option. For that reason i grabbed 7 replays i could find quickly and we made a video out of whatever was "best" about them. We didn't pick through hundreds of replays to find the best moves.

Please note that 6:57KR is exactly 23:57 CET :D

P.S. Many many thanks to Joe Eastham of Quantic Media who made this video in such a short time. You may follow him @JoeeGaming on twitter.

Thank you Joe ! ^_^;

I really wonder who will get picked. I expect the top names.. All though I feel that Ret should not be picked (he already got a team, if he really wants it he should convince them to get him to their korean house). Excited to see the end result.

Team liquid doesn't have a team house.
TLO, huk, Jinro, Supernova (and hero?)live together. This is a private arrangement and btw there is only one/(two) liquid player(s) living there.
