why in the world would anyone choose to use ladder results when even there is even the existence of maphacks ... blizzard ladder has always been polluted with maphackers since launch. and especially now with all these recent threads?! very bad management by the wcs/blizz people.

What are you going to do? Use offline qualifiers? What prevents people from using maphacks in a tournament like Playhem?

qualifying from other tournaments, at least offer another layer of scrutiny. taking directly from ladder, you are going on nothing but a number, their ladder rank.

Sure he's wasting money with the hotel and ticket but he's going to get his ass owned in the tournament, and he sure as hell won't be using his hacks, would be far to easy to notice, if he feels like he wants to get humiliated he can feel free to do it, however this needs to be monitored/have more done about it, having hackers flown out to events is a waste of money, time, and entertainment(although beatdowns are sometimes fun to watch) for the audience.

Liquid'Taeja vs TSL_Hyun, downloadable from this very website.

Not wanna join this discussion, only pointing it out that 550+ is possible on a regular basis.
This part of the "proof" can be dismissed.

No this part can't be dismissed because if you look he has 500 apm microing blink stalkers individually while having all of them targeted.

That's another part.. not qualified to comment on that

I emailed parents@mlgpro.com about the situation and tweeted to sundance, MLG, shibby, and puckket. Hopefully they see it. Everyone else should do the same. I recommended Luckyfool as he was a runner up in a qualifier, however, even if he is not a replacement the guy that hacks definitely should NOT be going to this event. It's absurd.
My email, feel free to copy/paste and send one to them as well. In fact, I encourage you to do so.

A hacker by the name of Zack has been invited to the WCS USA event. This player is a confirmed hacker and all information of him using hacks can be seen here:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=342704

I am not attending MLG Anaheim, however, I am friends with many players who are. NrGLuckyfool is a player who was a runner up for a WCS qualifier event and was disqualified due to a disconnect. This player deserves the chance to play in WCS much more than a hacker.

I strongly recommend that Luckyfool is contacted and reached out to because it's absurd that Blizzard, and MLG together would be supporting a known hacker.

Luckyfool deserves his chance in this tournament and hopefully you can give it to him.

This is one of those things where there is no debate. I asked everyone to be skeptical with the Spades thing, but if his stalkers are blinking back while he has all of them selected, there is no argument or excuse, as the blink hack is well known. See, THIS is the kind of EVIDENCE that people need to provide to bust someone. This guy can't say anything to dispute this, because he could not possibly have done that if he wasn't hacking. Good thread, good evidence. A guy who signed up the day before to TL posting a thread full of speculation at most is not the way to do it ("drolets). This is evidence. That was random speculation.

You are completely wrong. Basically if we had it your way anyone that uses the production tab hack is beyond reproach an unbustable.

sorry incontrol, that sounds to much like a threat. if u want to boo the guy endlessly on stage or something then thats fine, but anything more than that would just start unnecessary conflict. try not to get up in the dudes face and verbally assault him.

LOL. I guess somebody has to be "that guy".

The only fair way to decide who gets a slot, if one is made available, is by holding another tournament. There were plenty of runners up, not just LuckyFool, and I personally know a few runners up who will also be attending Anaheim. Not that I don't think LuckyFool is a good player, but he shouldn't be simply handed the qualification slot. There should be a tournament of runners up, if anything.

What a week for maphacks. I hope this guy gets stomped at MLG though, someone who deserves to be there will crush him in his first game I'm sure.
I hope he gets replaced before he gets to California.

I'm thinking Blizzard have to consider reworking some of the ground concepts of the SC2 engine (i.e. the pathing algorithm, as it is, requires full map information on the client side, which can be hacked from memory). Basically, some kind of heavy memory encryption protection or/and making the client of a 1v1 player not get full information... I hope we'll see a more serious discussion on this matter in the next days in a dedicated thread here. Things are getting ridiculously out of hand.

p.s. Actually what I just said doesn't even relate to blink micro cheating... oh well. Just shows how tough the problem is.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, as I haven't read the whole thread, but at 9:48ish, he zooms his camera in, and doesn't realize it/zoom out till 11:06 ish of the second replay (tal'darim). Is this a possible side effect of the maphack? Maybe a cause of binding a feature of the maphack to the scroll wheel?

Seriously everyone just let Blizzard and the tournament organizers deal with the situation, don't make threats.

I wouldn't want to beat him up or anything but... I would harp on every single little mistake he makes during MLG. And I would make sure my words are loud and clear

The point was more, anyone in general should be given the spot not just let a hacker get away with it "because it's booked". I'm sure they could do it by MLG seeds or something logical, but yeah.. ><

Tickets may already be booked and the money wasted, but the solution seems straightforward:
1) Let him fly out.
2) Cancel his hotel room.
3) Cancel his return flight.
4) Blacklist him from the Anaheim convention center.
5) Blacklist his ip on battlenet.

EDIT: At the very least his flight and hotel should be cancelled, and if no replacement can be found for the tournament a walkover is much preferable to rewarding hackers.

It is impossible to make one stalker blink back while you have 20 stalkers selected.
