As it stands, the majority of people there will just be seeing some guys they keep hearing about(but don't care about) play some bad SC2.

I've never watched or followed BW, but if they put these guys up on stage and I was there I would be cheering. The hatred you see between SC2 and BW at times on these forums is nothing but drama for the sake of drama. (I've got nothing against showing a BW match, but I couldn't tell a high level one from a low level one. A few games wouldn't be enough to explain the game fully and I'd probably tune out.)

Most people responded very favorably to watching huk vs boxer in BW when IPL 3 had technical issues Wouldn't it be nice if the RTS/ARTS community played a bit nicer, we could see something similar to the fighting game company where so many games get played and enjoyed

I doubt any of them would win, but at least a few would manage to get into the brackets I think. No, they would not. Did you see them play in the PL? I'm curious what the reaction is, considering many SC2 fans aren't too familiar with the BW scene; if this mini tournament is a farce, it could hurt MLG's basic strategy of hyping these players. I can just imagine JP hailing Flash as "the greatest RTS player of all time" before he loses to a simple 4 gate. I doubt Kespa will allow the players to enter the open bracket. This is about image over talent right now, and will be until the players improve; that may take months. If this was being held in September sure, they'd be ready to play some good games. But right now? Nah

So I'm assuming July for the Spring Championships, how does that fit into the OSL Proleague schedule, will they be over by that time? Hoping they have enough time to show some good games. Oh, and SICK lineup.

So I don't think the assumption that the sc2 audience would hate a broodwar cast by their favourite commentators is true at all. Sc2bw would also be a really cool thing to play. I still think having them play sc2 is a bad idea because the first impression of them to a lot of people could be them looking bad. First impressions are important!
