Wow this is amazing, you can tell he's a real fan, not just using the community to propel his own fame. Too bad the Jazz suck, maybe they can trade him to a real team.

He seems oddly familiar but I don't really have any idea who he is.

Cool to hear an NBA player being a starcraft fan as well tho.

Yeah the sound of the video kinda sucks. But yeah gordon! He is the man, and actually a pretty good player. Don't count trhew Jazz out, they lost pretty bad to the spurs but they'll get better.

To be honest, the scene needs some more street cred. It would mean a lot if someone like Durant or Derrick Rose come out and say they love SC2. Kobe helped hype up MW a ton, we need the more urban crowd to help the game grow.

The jazz are playing for the future. Them getting to the playoffs now is quite the bonus. They did well at the draft last year.

Of course this years draft is stacked and they don't have any solid picks. So I guess they may not get much better in the future.

Ok, he's got me as a fan. I remember hearing from him a while back but I'm completely stoked he's still doing his part to promote Esports! HWAITING!!!

GORDON: if you read this and ever want any practice partners and training feel free to hit me up I have contacts with pretty much all the NA pro-teams at your disposal. I'd love to see you actually get to a competitive level.
Why?

Yeah, the Jazz were very impressive this year. Nobody expected them to do much. They've a young core that should mature and become very solid in the coming years.

Go Hayward!

They are a decent team, but they lost their star player, with no chance of drafting a go to guy in the future unless they tank. You can't trust Al Jefferson to lead you to the finals, I'm sorry.

Second best?

Chicago/LA are obviously #1/#2 in some order, Boston is up there as well... San Antonio has done way better than Utah. Portland and Houston as well. I'd also argue Orlando is ahead (though it's more debatable). Not sure how Utah is up there.

And just because they were good during the Stockton/Mailman days (when Malone inexplicably won an MVP award too) doesn't mean they're good now.

Sure I like Gordon Hayward but let's not get carried away saying they're gonna be a good team anytime soon... they (somewhat forcibly) dumped their star player last season and got a great haul, especially because New Jersey is shit. The Jazz won't get the pick this season though because it is lottery-protected... so yeah.

They definitely overachieved but they're not really that great nor are they in a growing phase, they really need new talent in order to be competitive.

Also, The Jazz have the best front line in the NBA. Jefferson, Milsap, and Favors.

Chicago without DRose isn't anywhere near the top.

It's LAL/OKC/MIA/BOS are the contenders.

The Jazz are an extremely young team. There are 2 years and a trade away from being a relevant team again.

I loved the part at the end where he said it's not too off heheh. Maybe he should have hinted a bit at esports already being "big" in korea?

Chicago went ages without getting to the playoffs. Look at the average, not the best couple years. All I am saying is that they made the playoffs this year led by a second round pick (Millsap) and aand they a chronically injured pickup, and thats pretty amazing. Kanter is barely 20 and has HUGE upside potential, so does Favors. Obviously they didn't win a championship and probably won't soon, but bagging on them and saying Gordan can do better is just not right

Would've like to have seen a little spotlight on competitive starcraft, maybe some shots from IPL or MLG showing the crowd and getting to hear the casters.

Good guy, really improved from last year. Streaky shooter, jumper just wasn't there in the playoffs.

Nice to see the clip though.

I always thought Hayward was a solid player on the Jazz. But it's awesome that this go onto TV. It's pretty cool to see people like Hayward and Daryl Morey (General Manager of the Houston Rockets) give props to StarCraft 2 and the competitive video game scene in general.

Also, it's good to see the Jazz doing so well without Jerry Sloan coaching and Deron Williams.

The Jazz made the playoffs after losing their hall of fame coach and most of their starting lineup. Since they moved to Utah they have averaged the second worst first round pick after the Lakers. Second best franchise over the last 25 years and you go crap all over Gordons team? Nice...

Oh I agree with what you're saying then. I don't think Gordon should be leaving, especially since he's not exactly an NBA star himself. But the Jazz really need some work before they get better. And yeah that was kind of tasteless.

I was a fan of his before he got drafted in the NBA and well before I learned he was into SC. But once I knew that it just solidified his awesomeness. Hes actually a starter on the Jazz and one of their key players for the future. I don't think a lot of people realize that hes not just some bench warmer.

Hayward, my man! I live in Utah, I'm a Jazz fan, and I just gained a ton of more respect for him

My parents even watched this, lol. Most people like NBA Basketball, so seeing NBA players as gamers is a good way to help people be more accepting of the esports community.

Gordon had a great sophomore season. Hopefully he learned a lot from his first playoff experience, he's also part of the USA select team that's going to be scrimming against the big boys in their preparation for the Olympics. Gordon may very well emerge as a top small forward next season. (Join the Raptors plz we really need help at the 3 ^.^)

Such a cool guy, and awesome basketball player as well. The Jazz don't suck either, they just play smart basketball. The spurs play a similar style, but they are just really amazing, which is why they dominated the Jazz. You can't beat Spurs at their own style.
