Hi there, so I've been reading all the 17 pages of comments and I have to say, as the co-owner of the bar (with Foxy), that your comments are really making our days

Spread the word, let the world know what's comming !

To all of you speaking about other venues across the world (Australia, Germany, UK) we would just like to point out that we are the first one aiming that much at eSports and the scene. We are directly in contact with a few progamers and we are hoping to create a bond between the bar and our future online platform which will feature a lot of cool stuff (TV, real time interactions with the bar, big community etc etc).

Anyway, can't wait to see you all in the bar !

The place in Berlin, and to a lesser extent the one in Manchester both seem like primarily gaming centers that also have a bar in the same building (Berlin) or serve drinks (Manchester). Neither seems like a place you'd go just for a drink without intending to play. Meltdown is much more like a bar with the option to play a bit if you feel like it.

You can come alone above 12 but you are only allowed beer if you're above 16 and other drinks above 18

Looks cool. But I think it would be better for your businessmodel to provide different games. That way you´ll build a broader base for when one of the games fades out and new ones come in. It also might help intermingling the different communities if you can go to a bar and watch some SC2 on one monitor and SF on another.

Also I think it could become a bit boring for (non diehard SC fan) visitors who might decide to visit less often as they would with more games available to watch.

Its happened a bit but my vision is watching the major eSports events online and during intervals cutting to multiple barcrafts globally.

Yes, Its happened a bit, but too infrequently and having seen how it works in UK for other major events it really adds a sense of excitement and drama even 'specialness' to the occasion. I hope MLG, Dreamhack, GSL, MLG, and NASL are considering this as its one other tool to utilise time between games.

It would be great advertising for the events too so I think all barcaft organisers would help make it effective..maybe even have someone who is hooked up to a mic and chats to likes of Day9 etc.
