Tbh, I want all the companies that sponsored BW/BW teams to stay the hell away from SC2. Especially Samsung with its shitty WCG. Why would you want that? BW teams playing sc2 would give it real legitimacy in Korea as a competition like BW is. Players who have to do military service could be on ACE, stuff like that. So you want KESPA, a corporate union, to get its filthy hand on SC2 scene? The way things are going, KESPA doesn't want GSL players to participate in their league. They want to keep the league isolated. I say let them die from within with their shitty matches played by relatively new ex-BW SC2 KESPA players. Seriously, think about it. Who would do better? A player who has been practicing both BW and SC2 back and forth, or a player who has been solely practicing SC2? And no, the elephant can go fuck itself, it has been disproven with ForGG getting his ass whooped. There is almost no way that those players can catch up with the current GSL players in time before it's too late. And no self-respecting, sensible GSL players would ever switch sides, even with loads of dosh. And from the looks of it, a lot of Korean BW fans would rather watch LoL instead of SC2. That's good, I don't want those kind of shitty fanbase (especially Fomos) to defile the SC2 scene. Addenum: As much as I love esports, having the air force to go out of its way to cater to progamers, is a bit of an overboard, when they should be putting all their efforts and funds into protecting the country, especially with North Korea and its new warmongering leader next door. Wow, I understand your hate for kespa, but having kespa wouldn't hurt. I am sure Blizzard calls the shots on sc2. I believe they can't stop them from entering. Though I must agree, I still feel its stupid that kespa have such tight control over bw, so I am still wary of that if they do go sc2. But then again, blizzard still calls the shots.

Jeadong is not just solid, that's an offence for what he achieved. Uch things like this are awful to read. What more important is how long is a game going to stay stable, instead of current popularity. Sc2 still makes sponsors hasitant to comit. This how ever for Korea would be a great step forward.

I'm so happy for IM. Hopefully this means that all of their players finally get the financial support they deserve(and need).

LG sponsored the Super tournament and that other special won that DRG won right? They've been sponsoring tournaments, just not a team yet. Yeah can you guys seriously not remember "LG CINEMA 3D GSL SUPER TOURNAMENT" which was said like 100 times in the intro to the finals ^^

"The way things are going, KESPA doesn't want GSL players to participate in their league. They want to keep the league isolated." Utter bull, why wouldn't Kespa want the best players in the world playing in their league? Where are you even getting that information from? "Who would do better? A player who has been practicing both BW and SC2 back and forth, or a player who has been solely practicing SC2? And no, the elephant can go fuck itself, it has been disproven with ForGG getting his ass whooped." I guess ForGG getting into Code S two consecutive times, and getting into Code S for the first time on his first try isn't good enough for some. ForGG wasn't really a top class BW pro when he retired either. And "ass whooped"... hardly. Rest of your post is more of the same, but then "Addenum: As much as I love esports, having the air force to go out of its way to cater to progamers, is a bit of an overboard, when they should be putting all their efforts and funds into protecting the country, especially with North Korea and its new warmongering leader next door" what a stupid, stupid post. oh my

KESPA is gonna keep pushing that progamer licence bullshit for SC2 as well. There was an article about it in gamechosun. If that doesn't imply that they want their own league only for KESPA players, I don't know what is. And making competent GSL players to go through the courage tournament is stupid as hell, when they already proven themselves of their skills in GSL. Addendum: And rumors around these parts (especially around the BW scene) tend to be mostly accurate.

Razer or steelseries do not help the team finacially in other ways AFAIK (please correct me if i am wrong). If all LG doesd is give monitors or laptops, i think it is not as huge as people think. However if they are very active like buying the naming rights iof the team, (LGIM) or helps to send the players to competitions i think this is HUGE and amazing for the korean ESPORTS scene. You are very wrong. While it is true that certain small sponsorships are gear-based only, Razer and SteelSeeries both sponsor many teams financially. Back on topic, I'm truly happy for them. From what I've heard the deal is supposedly very large and completely unrivalled by anything we've seen from Korean teams (and the majority of foreign teams) in SC2 so far. My only concern is that I heard about this quite a while ago, and given that this isn't an official announcement, there's a chance that this deal fell through and that this 'leak' is outdated, which would be a big shame. If things actually progressed well and nothing fell through, this is actually very big news. It's a good sign for the game's overall health in Korea. I'm very eager to see IM's marketing/promotional efforts and acquisitions from here on in as they'd pretty much be an entirely reborn team.

I´m so glad for IM. And as for now its really smart for a multinational company like LG to sponsor a SC2 team. They get both foreign and Korean exposure.
