I'll compare it to ESL TV, since they have a similar model and I have been a subscriber there for years:

ESL TV Premium is 36€ ( 3 € / month = 4 USD /month ) if you take premium for 1 year and 5 € = 6,67 USD if you choose premium for 30 days.

So the 5$ for IPL sort of the same prize. I think that is appropriate.What I like more about the ESL model though is that it does not automatically extend itself. ESL tv premium just expires after the period you paid for is over. I would prefer that for IPL too.

ESL TV offers seperate HD passes for IEM events and HomeStory Cups, for people who don't want a long term subscription and just want to watch one event in HD. Will there be something like that for major IPL offline events?

I guess they could just purchase 1 month and immediately cancel to have the same effect...

Can you guarantuee that all IPL events will be included in the subscription?

Let's say "IPL X super offline final event" would require a seperate HD pass, in addition to the subscription, possibly with a discount for subscribers -> Is something like that going to happen, or will everything be included?

Nothing like that will happen. You have my word on it. This pass will include all HD content.

This comes with the obvious exception of things like the GSTL, where it's another organization running an event, where we will not be offering streaming in HD from our side. Baller name for an event though!

Looks good and after watching the extra content during ipl3 I'm inclined to purchase the pass for ipl4. However, I have a very strong aversion and hatred for automatic recurring payments. I've been screwed over far too many times by subscriptions that I supposedly canceled.

Great deal. I know exactly whats going to happen for me. I'm going to think to myself, eh, good deal, but I'm happy with 480p. Then saturday is going to roll around, as I get more drunk, the chances of me saying f*** it and buying a monthly pass go up by 10% with each beer. Guarenteed buy by the end of the night ><

Create quality production content, prove their worth, then ask for a subscription. Was this a calculated move or a big risk? I know you had to have lost some money trying this business model.

In any case, in my opinion you guys have proved your worth in a very professional manner and I continue to be impressed with your way of handling the SC2 scene. Thumbs up and you have a new subscriber

I was at Cosmo for my bachelor party, I will have to say, nice choice for a venue for IPL4!
