Not really, most of mad people here didn't get fooled, they just think the joke was very stupid ( so do I ), but at least worked for make people aware of the team(in a very bad way).

In a community chalk full of trolls, even professional interviewers and players are trolls and sometimes "bad mannered..." (See HotBid and IdrA) IdrA has the largest fan base in all e-sports. (as far as I can tell.)

How could any be so confrontational and negative about this particular launch of a team?? What do you know that they don't? "This is the end for you guys, before it even started! BAD P.R., bad p.r. BRO~"

I first heard of this team by that ''fake'' scam uproar. You have no idea how it tarnished my view on this compagny. There are too many scams, failed events, greedy sponsor that exploits people in e-sports and you thought ''Hey, let's look like absolute assholes, people will love us!''.
Even coming around saying ''nah, was a joke'' still will never wash the first impression you gave me.

Congratulation on building up the team. Best of luck to the players. But I will not be following the progress.

I still am trying to figure out how they finance their operations. They seem to have no sponsors at all on their website and could not find any link to any company. Unless that gets cleared out, I am still sceptical about it.

oh well . i will definitely remember them now. first impression indeed. as team who decided to insult and make light of all the former teams and players who actually suffered from scams and malpractices within the esports industry. i didnt think i was real but couldnt believe that a new team would actually decide to shit on their fellow peers who had suffered.

Really pathetic using the fact that people will pay attention to a thread about the subject of a team being a scam to gain publicity, you get no respect from me.

I would just like to point out that e-sports isn't SC2 alone. IdrA may or may not have the highest in sc2, impossible to track or tell one way or the other. But at the same time his stream doesn't break 20k+ like some of the LoL players (example: Dyrus, who has 10k+ every time he streams regardless of time.)

Btw, the community is the PR police. It's their job quite literally to make us want to support them by supporting their sponsors who pay for them to do what they love.
So yes. It IS the community's job to be their PR police, if they offend us it makes us less likely to purchase/use the product their sponsors are trying to advertise. If we don't let them know they offended us then they're that much more likely to fail when the sponsors aren't feeling like they're getting the ROI they paid for without a valid reason.

Side note: This is not meant to insult IdrA in any way, he is my favorite sc2 player, but numbers wise he's far from the most popular character in e-sports.
