this one brings a tear to my eye

It'd be cool if they had both, but bw is just more fun to watch than sc2. Whereas, sc2 is more fun to play.
Hopefully blizzard fixes that problem with the expansions.

It's very logical that LoL and Dota have such a big fanbase, because these games are soooooooo casual. But SC (1 & 2) are the big competition, it would be sad to see them die to some casual crap. (I really don't see the difficulty of controlling one unit in the standard 3rd person RTS view, no matter how much abilities it has. It's like WoW with a much better overview......)
whooooaaaaa buddy. Maybe you should stop by China or other SEA countries. LoL may be casual but no way DoTA is over there.

Because Sc2 is not a progression of BW, it's just completely different, and happens to be in the same genre.
'progress' to sc2 would really just be change for the sake of change.

Would be sad to see BW eliminated. Hypothetically speaking, if BW gets eliminated and these gamers transfer over, where will they get income from for a while? Obviously it takes a while for them to become the best again, and will likely lack any big tournament wins. Will the teams still compensate these players? Or will they scrap em and go for the best out there since these teams have big money behind them.

This is exciting, Sc2 fuck yeah!!

Wait, so Greg Canessa is out of the picture? Damn about time they got rid of him, he's unfit for pc gaming related stuff.

Interesting. Wandering about BW pros, if they will slowly move to SC2. Some time ago there were rumors about teams buying high-end pc's with wide screens (from BW)

Cool new for e-sport in general but not for Korea e-sport. Koreans don't like SC2 thats the fact. Now with Kespa and OGN backing we will have to wait and see can SC2 bounce back in Korea.

In this I shall say even spirit of commemoration, quote-unquote "feeling of sth going away" all I can say is that nothing can last forever - "the King is dead, long live the King". I should be mad but I'm not.

Finally this flower power notion of the two games co-existing in a healthy symbiosis is coming to an end. This could mean great things for SC2, very exciting!

I just saw the interview with Naniwa at MLG, apparently he said that Flash played about 60 games of SC2 while he was recovering from his surgery, don't know if this is true or not but the way I see it will happen soon. Kind of funny also that he could play so many games while most professionals now rarely gets up to 60 games a day, there are exceptions of course.
This year will be very interesting for SC2.

no i really dont see that sc2 is gonna replace scbw anytime soon. not a chance. at least not at this stage of sc2.

Do I smell an Elephant in the Room?
Its more like a handful, with the rest we have to see how well they process the change, and in addition there are some good talents that never made it to "A" Team in BW that might have their coming out for sure in SCII.
