Los Angeles, March 12, 2012 - Infinity Seven is proud to announce the signing of North American Protoss player, Nick “Axslav” Ranish.
Axslav will make his debut with Infinity Seven at the upcoming MLG in Columbus. He will compete alongside his new teammates, CrazymoviNG, jEcho, Insur, Pyre, and HonoR. With Axslav’s recent performance in MLG Winter Arena, he has been seeded in the Winners Bracket Round 5 and will start his matches on Saturday, March 24th.
Here are a few words from Team Owner Jingna “zemotion” Zhang:
“I first met Nick last year at IEM New York. When Infinity Seven heard about ReIGN disbanding, I got together with my managers and we decided to take action in recruiting him. We saw a player not only capable of producing results, but also someone who would help build and strengthen the team as a whole. With this new addition to our roster, I am very excited to see how the future of Infinity Seven will unfold. I’d also like to give special thanks our sponsor SteelSeries for their support in making this addition to our roster possible.” -Team Owner, Jingna “zemotion” Zhang
Axslav’s statement:
“I am really excited to join Infinity Seven. I have a ton of respect for iS and believe it is the perfect team for me that will allow me to really focus on the game and improve my play. I look forward to seeing them in Columbus and competing with them. Expect me to continue to improve greatly over the next several months, and thank you SteelSeries for making this possible!” - Nick "Axslav" Ranish

Hope we see more of this team soon. because as it stands now, i think axlav deserves a better team. Dont wanna discredit them, i just didnt hear much of them.
I sincerely hope Axslav can finally find peace within a team, settle down and just 100 % focus on his practice instead of having to deal with teams dispanding left and right.
All the best of luck to you Nick, make everyone know you deserve it.
OMG epic team for Axslav! i'm so happy for Nick, he deserves a solid team to really start shining because he is one of the best streamers, and the one of the most knowlegable about the game!
Alright Axslav, good job finding a team. Hopefully you can settle down and get some good practice in and win some tournaments. (BTW when's that AXE sponsorship coming ?)

SICKEST pick-up! Someone as talented as AxsLave couldn't stay teamless for a long time, probably one of the most talented players out there. Maybe a GSL Code S seed one day hahaha one can dream. Love you man, good luck!
Hope everything works out this time. He probably hasn't been able to focus on practicing 100% with all that has happened. Happy that he has a team again though, he's a fantastic player and deserves it. Hope to see him streaming again soon!

Just to clear up the confusion, iS has an agreement with RS, Mentalist did not leave the team and will still be representing iS in all non-Korean tournaments.

But maybe its the right place for him regardless!
IIRC, thats kinda what people said when SaSe signed with Quantic
Glad he found a new home so soon. Was worried because he didn't get resigned to EG, then RGN disbands, tough breaks for the guy. Things looking up now though.
Congrats to Axslav. He could be ace for them tbh. And some of the iS players are pretty good, I'm sure I've seen them practice vs. the EG guys, and iSPyre for sure was pretty decent.
Oh wow, nice pick! Very glad to see Axslav on a team again, and excited to see iS adding a big name to their roster. jEcho was my first introduction to iS and ever since I've really enjoyed the team. Best of luck!!! c: c: c:
Awesome, I could definitely support Axslav and iS (@zemotion! :D), here's to hoping they start getting some more front-page-worthy news with tournament results!
very nice to hear this. To anybody who knows more about the team, is he like their ace now? I havent heard too much about the other guys on the roster. Regardless, best of luck to you Nick! <3 your stream

Probably not their ace. Mentalist is supposed to be quite good (although I haven't seen him play so I'm working on hearsay) his TLPD shows him beating asd, supernova, Golden and others in bo1s and CrazymoviNG was a code A player in GSL nov, where he lost 2-1 to HerO.
Great pickup by iS, I didn't really know anything about them until this signing. Best of luck to them and Axslav, he's had some bad luck as of late but hopefully this will help him turn it around!

Edited with more information.
FXO Korea koth 15 is a good example of how good crazymoving and mentalist are, especially mentalist's game vs golden it was a surprisingly enjoyable albeit not perfect game that's definitely worth seeing and crazymoving played very well vs sage and thestc. Here are the vods (Also choya vs tassadar was brilliant).
It would be amazing and funny to see axslav step up his tournament showings and show EG what fools they were for letting go one of their only decent NA players.
I think its a great pickup and Infinity Seven is going to be a top team real quick. CrazyMoving did pretty good in the preliminaries for code A. EDIT: I have to throw in that I cannot wait to see how he does in MLG Columbus

You obviously have no idea about the players this roster has...

Their, almost unknown in the west, code B Koreans are probably better than almost every high profile foreigner that gets hyped up every day on TL.
I'm happy for Axslav. I think he's the player that everyone just wants to be able to settle down and focus 100% on his play so he can show his true potential.
Good to see he found a new home. Hopefully this one lasts much longer than his previous team. He has been showing better and better results, particularly for someone who hasn't had any team stability.
This team is better than people think, jEcho and crazymoving are really good! I remember seeing crazymoving in code A, he fell down to HerO which is no shame considering hero's pvz. Anyway, congrats to axslav!

Sick, thanks for posting this. I'll check it out, I want to know more about these guys now that Axslav is with them.

Ok...well since you haven't heard of them I guess they are bad right? How would new teams break into the scene if everyone had this attitude? Just say congrats or don't say anything at all, seriously. Your comment felt fairly shallow and mean spirited. Don't wanna discredit you or anything, I just didn't hear much of substance there.

Indeed. We've got a great management team, a great roster of players (jecho, axslav, crazymoving, etc), and a great coach (Thundertoss). iS definitely has the potential to rise to the top of the NA scene.
Just tuned into Axlav's stream, since I heard he commentates a lot, and I'm trying out protoss for the first time. Seems like an incredibly nice/likeable guy! Best of luck to him with his new team!
