Naniwa made carriers in one of these games... don't think he was taking it that serious

from Sase twitter:
hmm how about we get drunk and @MillStephano and @QuanticNaNi plays the 5k bet match live at our hotel with us as audiance? good idea?
So it's will happen in this weeked

that's quite far fetched to get to this conclusion from SaSe's twitter

seeing that Sase and Nani are best buddies this could very well be happeneing this weekend!! be fantastic! just wonder if it will affect eithiers MLG practice and with Stephano playing thourgh open bracket?

This just screams "scripted rivalry".

Why do people vote Naniwa as a chicken when it's Stephano who everybody is waiting for? :p

/facepalm You want the showmatch pay for it! As you said, they both make enough and don't need this game's money. You're the fanboy asking for more entertainment ...

Considering Stephano wrecked JYP 4-0, I think Nani should be afraid

Pretty sure Naniwa didn't lose 0-2 to Ret. I recall Naniwa winning that game v Ret when he made carriers/mothership to counter the mostly broodlord army.

the carrier game was during the practice games and there he won. in the tournament he lost 0:2 but i wouldnt interpret too much into these games because ret and stephano have different playstyles.
|
ret was trying to play stephano's style in the lan tho.
|
Naniwa isn't afraid, but he's not the favorite in this match-up. Stephano 4-0'd JYP and Ret 2-0'd Naniwa. Naniwa has to find holes in Stephano's style and play very well to win.

If he can take Polt, he can take Naniwa too. yeah because ZvT and ZvP same matchups. Well stephano has had an 85% winrate in ZvP so far in 2012. (according to TLPD). I bet he'd own naniwa easily.

It's sad. If the prizepool is substantial they'll pull out their A-game instead of going with ladder builds to hide what they're up to for coming tournaments. That's why 10 is exciting. If they're just doing a showmatch, the win won't matter anyway, as neither player played their best. It's just a matter of who was less bad on purpose. lol. Because pro-players have all have some secret super strats hidden nobody knows about and they "dont play their best" unless they are in tournaments. Heres another entirely unsupported and stupid thesis: With no money on the line there would be less pressure on both players causing them to be less nervous and enabling them to play their best. No, it's a fairly good point. Pros definitely do think this way, especially before major tournaments.

After putting Naniwa in such a terrible position and then backing out after he called his bluff, Stephano went from the best foreigner to keyboard warrior, zats all.

I thought it was simple logic. Talk shit in public, get called on it, back away...public laughs.
Pretty sure this simple concept has been happening since monkeys screeched on their fellow monkeys in the jungle.

If this match happens, the sites that keep a record over how much winnings each progamer has earned should give +5k to the winner and -5k to the loser
|
5k is... almost offensive. Revert it back to 500.
