Why Mouz Will Win the NASTL/IPL TAC/and lots of other shit in 2012

This one goes out for my best team of them all, Mouse fucking sports! They’ve proved it by winning the EGMC twice already but for those who don’t really follow the teamleague I’m going to do this write-up for the sick sick team!

Marcus “ThorZaIN” Eklöf
[image loading]

This guy is so gosu after he had his breakthrough Blizzard had to make a patch so he wouldn’t dominate this shit out of the whole community (TRUE STORY!). Once upon a time people thought that Koreans were unbeatable in StarCraft 2, and then ThorZaIN came and beat two GSL Champions (Fruitdealer and MC) in TSL3 and said FU to all the doomsayers. Also this guy is so good he can kill people with spoons!!! One last thing, you guys know that guy called MMA? The guy who beat MVP to win the GSL October and DRG to win the Blizzard Cup? Yeah he says that ThorZaIN is the best foreigner in the world, just saying guys.

Grzegorz “Mana” Komincz
[image loading]

You know what year this is? Its frickin 2012, the year Mana will graduate from school and be able to start playing fulltime, you guys should know what’s coming. This guy is also kind of the western world kong (not really, but close enough). He never wins an event; he just gets them 2nd and 3rd places. But hopefully when he goes fulltime he’ll make Poland the “New Korea”, and everybody will be going to Poland to practice with the best (Aka Mana and his homeboys!).

Dennis “HasuObs” Schneider
[image loading]

This guy played undead in WC3 and he plays Protoss in sc2 that says it all, if it weren’t for that he would’ve already won everything. He also has a really really nice voice, check out his casting at HSC4. I also heard he’s practicing his ass off at Take apartment with Titan in Krefeld, Germany. Hopefully he’ll be able to win lots of tournaments!

Stefan “MorroW” Andersson
[image loading]

Every time I see this guy play I get a boner because this guy always produces the sickest macro games ever, doesn’t matter if he loses or wins the game, it’s always so fucking entertaining. MorroW had lots of success in late 2010 when he was replacing BratOK at IEM Cologne (who couldn’t manage to obtain a German visa) and went on to take first place by taking down the favourite EGIdra 3 to 1. Back then MorroW used to play Terran, but later on he decided to switch to zerg and eventually start racepicking (ZvT, ZvP, TvZ). However most of you won’t really understand why I get a boner everytime I watch MorroW play so I’m just going to link two of his games, I recommend you guys to watch the WHOLE games, because their fucking sick! Hopefully MorroW will win lots of tournaments in 2012!

Han “biGs” Sang Cho
[image loading]

This guy is Korean, he has it in his blood. You guys will see, he’ll be 3-0ing the shit out of foreigners in 2012. Although he just recently got picked up by Mousesports, he has already showed that he’s a forced to be reckoned with. I’d recommend you watching his games against SlayerS from IPL TAC from last year.

Gabriel “HeRoMaRinE” Segat
[image loading]

This guy is 14 years old, he’s Grandmaster on EU and is on the best foreigner team. Do I need to say more?

Mouz Twitterguy
This guy is hilarious, hopefully we’ll see him own and ridicule the EG twitter a lot more in 2012!

MouzKaelaris
This guy does better commentary than many people out there who are getting payed to commentate! deserves a lot more recognition! Hopefully Kaelaris will get to commentate some major events in 2012 and kick ass!

Sorry for have written such a poor thread, a team like mouz definatley deserves better

He's there, didnt really have much to say about him cause I dont really know all that much. He has a macro oriented style, but has been slumping after the winter hollydays.

MorroW is still pretty good, people just underrestimate him because he's barely been participating in tournaments really. He will probably come out stronger then ever when he feels like he's ready to play in tournaments again.

MorroW annihilated MaNa 3-0 in the NASL finals.

Morrow is doing fine.

Mouz are fucking awesome. I feel like each player deserves longer write ups though, not blaming you, but the badass assery of the players can't be contained by a single paragraph.

Would probably take me one thread per player to write a serious write up on each player in Mouz ;P

Mouz has everything going for them, except a full team. They've got 4 world class players, mana, thorzain, hasu and morrow, and then bigs. Thing is most team leagues are bo9 so they're forced to use bigs a lot. Has this guy ever produced any results? Seems to me they should hire another player (eg has how many members?) and they'd be set.

What, an actual "why X team will win y team league/s" where X is actually a good team that has a solid shoot at winning said team league, blasphemy !
But srsly EU hwating !

He's pretty strong online but he has nerve issues offline.
He's played pretty good in the teamleagues, he managed to beat Ryung and Alicia in last seasons IPL TAC.

These threads are honestly getting kind of tiring...the problem is that they just aren't written that well - and yes, I know it's supposed to humorous, but it just isn't that funny, it's a rather generic of "insert generic hyperbole/standard outrageous claim about strength/sexual appeal/wealthiness/success and briefly skim over players that the OP doesn't know that well." The latter part on skimming over players is particularly annoying, as you'd think it'd at least give writers greater license for creativity, but none is usually demonstrated. It's also worse when it's a generally well-known player (like Hasuobs getting barely three lines at most) but it's obvious that the OP just isn't a player that actually follows the team that in-depth, and is just making the thread to bandwagon/mimic the current trend. It takes more than three sentences of that generic formula to make a writeup imo. Either input some somewhat serious analysis, or at least have some small semblence of creativity - for instance, the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms-esque" theme in that one thread about MMA and DRG.

Thorzain is such a bad ass. If you’ve ever heard his stream he really understands the game and all the little nuances. I remember him in an early game right before he was thinking about attacking. He scanned and he seen only a few buildings on Protoss. He then said, we are in the 8 minute mark, with those buildings he can only have x amount of units at max and he has an expansion, there’s no way he can fend off my attack. He then went in and stomped him. His ability to see the situation and know exactly what’s going on is pretty scary. He’s in my top 3 of favorite Terran players.

Do you think the majority would prefer (and even bother reading?) an in-depth analysis of the team? I dont really think so. But yes you have a point.
People wouldnt take me serious if i wrote an analysis, because I'm nobody, even if were a GM on all servers if wouldnt matter because that doesnt make me a qualified person according to the vocal majority.

Yes. These threads suck. Who cares about these teams/players that doesnt know any of this already? Something in-depth would be alot more interesting. Guess im the minority.

It doesn't even have to be a serious analysis - just some originality/greater effort in such a thread would be enough ^^. This is, of course, not to single you out - this has pretty much been a problem with all of these ttypes of threads, and it's great that you have the enthusiasm for showing such support. Also, I think you're overly concerned about "not being qualified," I've never seen such a thread criticized because the author is "not qualified," as long as you make substantive statements and provide evidence/reasoning you'd be fine - people will inevitably disagree, but only because it is natural to have differing opinions.

I guess you're right.

no it's actually fine. some teams deserve these threads. i'm fine with it as long as it are just the best ones, like the GSTL teams and mouz/empire/EG/dignitas/fnatic/quantic.

as long as those threads are well written i don't see why they shouldn't exist, although others might hate it. i'm pretty sure most of them disappear in some days anyway, as in no one posts in them.

Mouz, the only top tiers team who believe in investing into less knowed players to make them good. BiGs is getting a lot better, heromarine is a nice investissement, MorroW is practicing the hell off in Korea, Mana can probably be the next Naniwa when he finish school, Hasu is solid and well rounded since forever, and Thorzain is thorzain !

Aren't there Korean teams in IPL and NASTL. Even with the lag advantage, there's still no way a foreigner team can beat Korean teams. Almost every player on a Korean team will be better than every player on Mouz.

Mouz placed 2nd last IPL TAC, placing ahead of CoL.MVP and SlayerS. They played 5-0 and 3-5 against QIM in the finals (it was extended series, mouz came from losers bracket).

Stuck up? I'm just voicing a very common sentiment [see the other posts that agree, plus Chill's comment on the parody attempt in the blogs]. Pardon me for getting annoyed when these types of threads are literally spamming the forum. You're not understanding my post if your solution is just to "not post in the thread." The point is that copycats are making this kind of thread multiply, hence the need to step in to try to solve the issue. It's also not like I can choose to just ignore these threads altogether - this kind of thread title might offer a very entertaining or informative post. I'm just giving my input in how to make the threads better.

Seeing mouz in the IPTL2 gave me nerd chills. I love how they pull out all the stops for team leagues and always always always use their top tier guys. Thorzain all day <3

Tell that Slayers and MVP. Both teams were beaten by Mouz in the previous IPL Team Arena Challenge. MVP did even use their Ace DRG and still lost. There is a reason why Mousesports gets so much hype in team leagues. They are ridiculous good at those events and defeat teams that are on paper stronger than them, including Koreans. What makes it even more impressive is the fact, that they have not a single Korean (BiGs has Korean roots, but lives in Switzerland since being 4) in the line up.

This team is just a case of being an actual "team", where everyone gets extra motivation by fighting not only for their own gain but also for the sake of their team mates. This makes Mouz even more admirable, at least in my eyes.
