you can compare park sang hyun with djwheat with respect to their roles i guess but their abilities are really incomparable.

and this is coming from someone who can understand both english and korean. i wish you guys knew korean to know why i think this.

anyways, you guys probably won't understand how one caster can make such a difference, but this is the BIGGEST reason for me, incl. many koreans, to watch sc2 since gsl season 1 started.

park sang hyun truly is a gem. he's someone who makes you realize how commentary can make a game infinitely more entertaining.

Foreign scene still generally lacks the experience and professional training. Most of Korean casters often have a broadcasting background and are much more qualified for broader audience.

Going off this though, you can see why people would compare him to djwheat since there is lack of a real broadcaster in the scene.

With all due respect to DJWheat, which is one of the few casters I liked to watch back when I watched SC2, you simply cannot compare them two.

Again, I like a lot DJWheat, especially when he is with Day9.

Edit: of course, best of luck in his new career!

Since they both casted a variety of games in their careers. Yes. Yes we can.

Korean casters are amazing. They succeed in explaining the game to you, hyping it, and actually make you extremely excited for what's going to happen. And in a game where all the information is handed to you with a better UI, it can be harder, but they manage to give you that feeling of what's going to happen next. I'm excited for this, will try to tune into the Korean stream maybe, since I haven't in the past.

Unless you don't speak korean.

You don't need to speak korean to know what they are saying. You just need to listen to their heart and soul.

he is the gg button.

I don't think enough people who switched to SC2 understand why the Korean casters for the most part were better than their english counter parts. You didn't need to know what they said just hearing their excitement gets you excited and pumped. Also its fun to try to guess what they are saying.

Well, better them off to SC2 than retiring. OGN is looking pretty comfy as is. Might have to start watching GSTL in Korean now :O
