MKP, Polt, Hongun, Creator. all have greatly improved their races strategies. there will be more where this comes from..
also I'm probably one of the few if not the only people who is wearing their prime hoodie while looking at a signature of Creatorprime and framed signed photo of MKP while posting in this thread. Polt and Hongun are no longer on the team, right? Polt is on TSL, and Hongun is on E-Sahara iirc. right, but they made their innovations while part of Prime. and since then, they've actually dropped off a bit. prime's practice environment is one of the best for creativity and dedication.

Nobody expects the NsHoSeo inquisition!

I think Prime's 2nd place last season was deceptive. They actually finished their group stage with a negative record (2-3) and map score (13-14), only making it into the playoffs thanks to tiebreakers. Then they got lucky avoiding the tough side of the bracket, avoiding IM and MVP, while getting hot at the same time.
That being said I don't think the loss of Polt and Hongun hurts prime that much, but maybe that's just because I personally don't think of either of them as particularly fearsome players. Prime didn't use either of them throughout the entirety of last season's playoffs anyways. I think this is one of those FD/Tester type addition by subtraction moves because with Polt and Hongun out of the way it gives the youngsters room to spread their wings. Unfortunately for Prime most of their good prospects are zerg, and times are not good for zergs in Korea right now.
Now excuse me as I throw salt over my shoulder, knock on wood and offer a human sacrifice so that these team hype threads don't turn into some kind of jinx.

Great write up! Prime FIGHITNG!!!!!!!

Why isn't IM listed as a top contender? I'm pretty sure they can win the whole GSTL with 2 players lol.

and I definitely think FXO, Prime, and ZENEX can beat both MVP and Nestea. the former two because of powerful vs Z and vs T of some of their star players, the latter because they are unpredictable, and can beat both of them in BO1 sniping.

Part of me wants to be cruel and hopes for Prime to get second again so that MKP's curse as forever Kong continues.
Then again, it's hard not to like the team after their recent show of resilience through the last GSTL and through recent financial troubles that forced them into creating the brilliant Primezzang site. And MKP is cute as hell.

Name one player on Zenex that can defeat MVP. Zenex is a washed up team missing its best players, and MVP is the most solid and likely the best player on the planet. I don't think anyone on Prime could either for that matter, possibly Creator but doubtful.

Do you remember the last guy who said a certain team was going to win a TSL? Do you want everybody on Prime.WE to leave? Do you?!
+ Show Spoiler +Years from now the Curse of the GSTL will remain T_T

Gogo ClassicPrime! He's an insanely talented Protoss player with unique builds.

I like the content but I DID NOT like the center justification of the whole thing. >_<

Let's not make stuff up. Polt is twice as good now as he was back in Prime.
I think Terious will develop nicely into a reliable sniper.

Damn it, now Prime is going to implode.

Creator is definitely one of their most dangerous weapons..great writeup and I want to see your hopes about MKP become a reality too!

gstl is the biggest dice roll in sc2 right now imo. if you look back at season 1 and 2 when slayers won, they were playing vs teams like ogs and im, both of which had a higher tier of talent at that time, but i think matchup, team preparation, strategies, luck and better performance on said day that alowed slayers to win. I dont think any team should be underestimated, this tournaments lets unknown players or known players shine in an atmosphere that anywhere else they would never be able to (case in point qxc all killing im). gl hf to prime and all other gstl teams!~

They're called baneling busts. MVP tends to die to them for some reason.
Remember Toodming? Yea, you probably don't because who the hell is Toodming? But he almost knocked MVP out at Blizzcon. Anything can happen in bo1. Hell, Bling and Macsed almost took him out at WCG.

This was really cool! But you name it on the lines of "Why Prime will win the GSTL.

First of all my question was not answered, and has not been answered by your response with any other. And your argument that he ALMOST lost to these players at WCG and Blizzcon proves nothing because he did not lose to them. The last time MVP lost to an early game bust with regularity was almost a year ago against July, this is not a trend.
I don't believe that I need to list the myriad of accomplishments MVP has to back up my point. But can you honestly tell me in a best of one you would pick someone from Zenex or Prime to beat MVP? I would question both your intelligence and your sanity if that were the case.
