Hmm, at first I was really surprised, however I think it kinda makes sense.
It is not a secret that the Korean SCII teams have a hard time getting sponsors and such, therefore I don't expect salaries to be that good. However SK with its history and sponsors can easily afford a very good salary for such an amazing player.
I hope MC will stay in top form though now that he left the oGs house.
MC fighting!

Is this an amicable split?

I assume so.

I mean, he isn't on their team anymore. What reason would MC stay at the oGs house? Yeah, he's friends with everyone there, but he left the team. He should leave the house and go to his new team's house, or, since there isn't one, live by himself.

I'm sure oGs will release a statement soon.

what... the... f... didn't expect that. at al

Not live in oGs house could be really bad for his practice though :/

$$$$$$$$$$$ I hope MC can still practice with good players.
also, SKMC is a stupid sounding name compared to oGsMC

MC so selfish... How could he not think about the german mcdonalds burger?!
Joke aside, good luck to him but still weird :S

So whatever, a little disappointed but still a fan.
I don't see why you'd loose respect for him at all. It's his choice what team he plays for and even if he did do it for money, like someone else said, people move jobs to earn a higher salary and that's a good thing, in eSports it should make no difference to a normal job scenario.

I hope some idiot doesn't register SK.MC on twitter :/ or if someone does register a twitter account - it gets given to him.

Hm, big move. This will either be great for MC, with being the only member, having all the money go to him, living by himself, and going to every big international tournament, or it could be awful, leaving his practice partners behind and becoming a one man team. I'm sure his oGs friends will practice with him, but it won't be the same.
He still will practice with his old teammates.

I'm not surprised at all by SK's move to sign MC exclusively. The partnership with oGs didn't really work out, also it has become economically reasonable for Western organizations to sign Korean players nowadays – and SC2 is too important to not be involved.
//EDIT: ... Oh, and it's certainly a good thing for the industry when the players care about money. It's what motivates clans to work professionally.
