Nice to see that more Korean players get the chance to play in foreign tournaments.

Hopefully the idea will be "new" Korean players. The same set always get all the invites, so this could be a chance for someone unknown to shine.

Will be nice to see Taeja roll Finland. :D Great to see ESV gain another partner, and get more attention to themselves and the absolutely amazing tournament they run.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/ESV_TV/Grand_Prix_1

why is it written that
"The "ESV TV/Twitch TV Grand Prix #1 is the first "finals" event of ESV TV Korean Weekly's 2012 tournament. The finalists from each of the four tournaments and 12 more top finishers are invited to participate in a $2000 final event organized by ESV TV and sponsored by Twitch.TV and Steelseries."

yet it is a bo32 in the first round? where do the 16 remaining players come from?

I have purchased 2 ASUS computers over the past few years, first a laptop, and more recently a desktop. They are both fantastic computers, very hardcore, and HOLY JESUS CHEAP. Absolute best bang for you buck for the economy gamer.

Same here! I've had 2 ASUS laptops. The first one, the g51VX, I got for $1k and have dropped it over a hundred times falling asleep watching Starcraft 2. After 4 years it's still going strong but can't play Skyrim on High...so now I'm spending another $1k with a Asus N53SV....after seeing how sturdy and impressive an ASUS laptop is, I'm glad I can both support Asus rog and enjoy their laptops.

I hope there will be some high level non-terrans trying to qualify to the ASUS ROG like Leenock, Puzzle and Oz!

Might be written wrong.

8 weeks, 4 players per week = 32

4 invites = 36.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Is it decided yet from what the invites will be based upon? Performance in the ESV perhaps?
edit: or maybe performance in the GSL?

What a great idea.

This should put a whole lot more prestige behind winning the event, and hopefully a great opportunity for an "up and coming" Korean player to experience the foreign scene first hand.

Congrats!
