He didn't pick him.....these are random.

NO, actually the players hand pick their opponents!! someone felt they have a handle on idra, likely it was mvp

no, it is random.... lol

group selection is next round.

I thought 1st seeds could pick the 4th seed? and then the rest were randomized?

(And Idra man...best of luck...)

Edit: Sorry nevermind T_T apparently only jjakji and leenock picked someone from the 4th spot

yup, only jjakji and leenock got to pick. which means jjakji chose sen, which is a good choice imo, and leenock chose fin(forGG)

Iam really curious to know why Leenock wanted ForGG in his group.

Probably his friend or practice partner?

Or he really wants to put his ZvT up to the test by challening one of the best Terrans in BW.

well, Leenock has ridiculously good ZvT lol.

How do you the groupings work? Can only 1 player advance from each group?

Maybe Idra got lucky and advance? Who knows, best of lucky Idra, you will need (him to beat to advance)

I'm sensing bull on these being "random". Team kills all over the place. Sigh, BoxeR gets back into Code S then gets that gay of a group? Well whatever, I'm positive he and GanZi will make it out of that group.

Random doesn't mean it ends up perfectly balanced how you want.... sigh.

I'm not so sure that Sen has a good shot, he has a reasonable chance against Boxer, but I wouldn't pick him over Jjakji or Ganzi. Neither of them are undefeatable, but they are both pretty good ZvT players. Idra has a better chance, he'll probably beat lucky, and his chances against Nestea are really only a little worse than 50-50 with how Nestea has been doing recently. MVP is by no means undefeatable for idra either (though he is a definite favorite). Overall though its pretty bad for foreigners, they got pretty unlucky, especially when there are some pretty weak groups (F-H for example).

F-H are ridiculous too. With the exception of a few players, all are top 10 within their races. I wouldn't favor Idra or Sen in any group as top 2.

Group B and F, multiple OGS and MVP teamkills.

IdrA getting MVP and Nestea(good luck with that!)

Groups A, B, C & F are worth watching!

Predictions for A:
Absolutely no idea who will come through! Sen vs Boxer vs Ganzi vs Jjakji wtf!

B:
Fin will definitely go through. Second spot either goes to Leenock or MC, however I'm leaning more towards MC.

C:
MVP will definitely go through. 2nd spot is very dicey - Nestea's been on a slump, Idra's zvz is good but not the best and Lucky is quite a beast of a zerg however I dont know how will go through of the three zergs. I want Nestea to advance, but I think IdrA may pull it off.

F:
sC vs JYP vs DRG vs Genuis WTF! Absolutely no idea who will come through.

Holy shit, this is going to be a great season for GSL!

The talent is so unevenly distributed it's ridiculous. This could have been such an awesome Season, but there's still hope. Hopefully we won't end up with a Keen vs. Ganzi series for a final or something along those lines.

If Idra gonna make out from this group , he gonna win GSL . I dunno what is harder for Idra TvZ vs best player in the world (and idra best mu) or ZvsZ vs best ZvsZ player in the world.. :D omg , Greg , you need a hug <3

I know, but there were surely easier options. Anyways that will be the battle of two of the hottest up and coming players, with MC being a darkhorse who can never be counted out. SuperNoVa probably will have a hard time, though hes always up for surprises.

Or he really wants to put his ZvT up to the test by challening one of the best Terrans in BW.

According to TLPD, ForGG's TvZ seems to be his weakest matchup, currently at a 4-5 record. Those losses come from his runs in the ESV Korean Weeklies, where he lost to BBoongBBoong 1-2 and AnnYeong 1-3.

I remember watching his ESV Korean Weekly games, and he didn't look as solid against Zerg as his TvP and TvT. However, those games were a while ago, and he may have greatly strengthened his TvZ since then.

However, perhaps Leenock has had some success against ForGG on ladder and feels confident because of this, though I'm not too sure about their ladder records.
